Lawro

Love it

Been on good form this tournament  Need a red button option to have Lawro on every BBC game instead of putting up with knackers like Neville and Murphy.

Commentator: Would you celebrate if you scored a long range goal in this World Cup?

Lawro: Yeah but I'm 57

So dead pan

Friedel is an immense pundit

Never got past the accent to actually hear what he's saying when he's on over here.

 what do you mean? His hybrid accent? He's really  good tbh

Is he on tv now? I was just thinking he should be, as he's been top class on the radio.

I have to say, Brad Friedel has been absolutely immense co-commentating on 5 Live Radio. Never ever heard an American talk about football with such knowledge and eloquence. Should have a big future in coaching if he pursues it. Very good to listen to.

He'll make a great manager someday. Very smart guy.

And his accent is neither American nor English. It's almost as if he's developed that 1930's Trans-Atlantic accent that neither country fully accepts.

Michael Bradley needs to get his testicles back, fast.

He's just not an AM at this level. He can do the job against lesser teams, but he's not creative enough nor good at running at a defense. In a perfect world, we have a true creative player in that spot and Bradley sits deeper, pinging passes around. It'd be like Pirlo sitting behind Balotelli and running at the CBs from the top of the box. Not saying Bradley's on that level, but he's the closest thing we have to that kind of player.

He does provide strong defense from that forward midfield spot though, which is important against a team like Germany, not letting them have enough time on the ball to generate attacks.

Does need to do much better with his first touch, mind. Some inexcusable giveaways already.

He's just completely lost the ability to pick out even the simplest pass. Beckerman is making him look like an amateur by comparison.
