Interpolic
What was that thing the other day off Twitter that said we'd been beaten 5 times or so 4-0 or more in the PL before Pardew, and loads more than that in the few years he's managed us?

Interpolic
Cheers, the 4 goals or more thing though, can't find it. Think it was something like 7 or 8 such defeats in 4 years under him and 5 of them in the 16 years previous.
midds
We've now lost 3 more games than West Brom. We've also conceded 3 more than them (and Sunderland) too. In fact the main difference between us and WBA is Remy's goals and we all know that he won't be here next season. His goals have managed to turn 6 or 7 draws into wins whereas West Brom haven't had that player to do it. Our record without him is comparable to the very worst sides in PL history ffs. We're one player away (who we don't own) from the very worst clubs in the league.
Yorkie
I keep thinking that, in the eyes of Ashley, this ban will absolve Pardew of the blame when it comes to the performances. But, even if it is his absence from the touchline that is causing the problem, he is directly to blame regardless. The things this guy has survived. It's fucking staggering. Last season we were in a similar position to WBA, and they had a similar season to us, while they had Lukaku banging them in. This season they don't have that, we have Remy and the positions have changed.

Yeah, its crazy how he is still in a job. At this rate he may as well stay the fuck at home on match days while the team get hammered. Because it makes no difference either way. There is zero accountability at all. No-one is being held accountable for piss poor performances. Not the players or the coaching staff. It's a fucking joke tbh. Ally
Pardew literally has no idea how to reverse a bad run. This has been the same at all his clubs. For all his faults, SURELY Ashley must watch these games and think we can do better. There's having no ambition and there's being in free fall into the championship

There's having no ambition and there's being in free fall into the championship The thing is, that three and a half years down the line, we still don't have a playing style. We don't play long ball, we don't play a pressing game, we don't play counter attacking, we don't attack teams etc Pardew simply picks 11 players he "trusts", regardless of tactics, position, ability or form. Gallowgate Toon
Like many people who for some odd reason defended Pardew heavily throughout the past couple of years Ian is currently in some weird state of limbo, where he feels like he has to go on as if he wasn't defending Pardew, but instead just offering an alternative view to what is being described as "mental hatred." Hence we get a lot of posts that don't really mean anything, but just say "he's bad yeah, we all KNOW that, but he isn't AS bad as people are saying." This gets classified as defending him, because it is defending him. Or perhaps that's really just his point of view? This arrogant rubbish is the exact reason why this thread is so crap. And telling people that their opinions against someone are irrational or mental isn't arrogant? This thread is crap because people are still trying to bring a reasonable defence to the table for Pardew despite there being none, and people like you coming in all chilled like "It's just his opinion, man" Fair enough, this is my opinion, I reckon it's f***ing rubbish, and people who are sick to their back teeth of the bloke managing us are obviously going to find it pretty antagonising. People like me being rational and having the mental capacity to not keep on getting ridiculously worked up over one person's opinion? People say Ian's the battered wife, what about the individuals that keep on getting irate at what he says when you can just ignore him? I can't say I've ever really seen Ian as arrogant, no, although, it's probably just overshadowed by the far more overt obnoxiousness you see regularly in this thread. I don't agree with Ian, I want Pardew gone but I just see no reason to see stuff like what you've just posted. Well, you know, maybe that's just my point of view? Am I saying you're not entitled to your point of view, like? Or am I simply responding to your post with my opinion that it added nothing to any decent debate around Alan Pardew and it's symbolic of why this thread is now rubbish because it's really about having a dig at a poster? I'm just giving my opinion on your post, that's how a forum works, right?
Minhosa
We'll go down next season unless we spend £30m+ on the first team.
Mick
The best money we could spend to strengthen us for next season would be to pay Pardew off. If the rumours are right then it will cost us the same as signing one player and singing one player will bring us less of a bounce than replacing the fraud. It would make far more sense for Ashley too. If he wants to stick with the model of buying cheap and selling for profit then having a coach that can get consistent performances would be something that would benefit him massively. Interpolic
Not if it means we get in Europe, or have a manager that stands up to the owner in any sense. I'm not sure what Pardew could do to make Ashley want to bin him tbh.
