There's no way they're going down, like. They do have a big problem they've overpaid for many players that aren't good enough or are at the wrong end of their career over the last few years and that won't make it easy to correct their squad. That being said, fuck them and I hope they continue on that path

To play that system we need wing backs and a #10.Ā

Ā

Also if we're going to play the likes of Mazraoui at wing back then the covering centre back needs to have pace. Said at the start of the game that De Ligt and Mazraoui on the same side seemed like a disaster waiting to happen.Ā

I do rate Amorim (quite a bit of shite being talked about his success at Sporting and Braga now), but I do think he's going have to be a bit more pragmatic and make some changes to your system until he can get the players he wants.

He's now saying he'd rather leave the job than consider different tactics.Ā

Wtf is going on.Ā

Same as Ange. Ā It just seems so limited as a manager if you can't adapt the way you play to fit your players.

He can't buy 11 new players. I genuinely want him to persist with his system.

These are fucked. Amorim send like a decent bloke tbh and a small part of me wants him to succeed. That said I think the squad he's inherited is completely unsuited to what he's trying to get them to do. He's probably a good manager, there's probably a lot of talent in the squad but the connecting simply isn't there. It'll cost a billion+ to sort it out or change the manager yet again

Has any manager been a hit after starting even more unimpressively than what his predecessor was sacked for?

I know Ferguson was on the brink there but that was after he spent all that money, I think they initially did improve.

Just seems odd to see absolutely no positive signs at this point. The team as a whole, defence, attack and no revitalised individuals.

The Butcher go vegan when he was out injured or something?

Aghast at him being made captain tonight. He's been atrocious. Think his midgetness is catching up to him and it doesn't matter how good on the ball he is.Ā

I think weirdly heā€™s what they need if they stick with him but looking at ashworth, sir Jim rat face will shit his pants and employ Steve BruceĀ

THAT could see them relegated. šŸ¤£
