Man Utd went to my secondary school to give a free lesson to the students

I am a Man Utd fans now lol

Bryan Robson came to our junior school in South Pelaw when he was England and ManU captain ~'85 - his mam was a one of the cooks and was where he grew up. Don't remember anyone being turned.

@Froggy don’t know what history this journo has with you but to be fair to the guy most of what he states seems factual i.e. Amad sticking his finger up at fans, poor performances and fan turn out, unwanted players being dragged abroad for meaningless games and not being enthusiastic about it (who can blame them), the weird bus tour etc?

After years at the top you’re going to be scrutinised because of the past 10 years of (relative to past success) failure.

I can address most of it.

Amad did stick his finger up. He put a post up on Twitter saying a fan abused his mother and that's why he did it. I don't really believe that to be fair, as there's dozens of photos of him and Garnacho etc. and they're giving the middle finger as if it's some kind of pose. Maybe some weird Gen Z thing? Who knows.

It wasn't a bus parade either. It was five players on their way to a meet and greet promo. Think a lot has been made of that video because it was shared on a Liverpool account with fake laughter over it.

Of course the performances were poor and of course the players didn't want to be there. As you say, who can blame them? At the same time, they're responsible for a huge drop in revenue. Maybe they'll try a bit harder next season to avoid these money making exercises.

100,000 fans across both games as well. I wouldn't call that a poor turnout.

We got £8-10m for three days depending on which reporter you trust the most. That's Bruno Fernandes' wages for a full season. It's a big win for me.

I completely understand us being torn to shreds for a brutal league campaign, but I can't believe the attention a couple of post season friendlies are getting.

Probably Giggs, but Evans leaving this summer means next season will be the first time since the 73/74 season that the Man Utd squad won't have a player who was managed by Ferguson.

Albiston 74/88

De Gea 11/23

Evans 23/25

Heaton was on the bench under Fergie a few times. Does that count as managed?

He's in talks to extend for a year.

Froggy lad, you really need to give yourself a break from this, and possibly other, forums. It's Friday night mate, go and get pissed. I can say this from the perspective of somebody who is already twatted. It's the way to go bud.

I agree with most of this, especially the players are responsible for the huge drop of revenue.

Can you imagine the melt down on here if it was us that lost to them on the last day.

You would have as well, considering the way we both played.

It worked out well in the end. Glad Rashford didn't get CL with Villa or we would have never heard the end of it.

Trying to think of our equivalent and not as impressive. Probably going to be...

Steven Taylor : 2004/16

Lascelles : 2015/present

With Pardew/McClaren/Benitez being the link

Feels like Man U are getting a little extra stick on top because the usual suspects on social and other media kinda have to give us a bit of a break.

Also feels like they’re going to get round to Villa at some point - amid all the sniping at our 17 years without a trophy Villa’s 30 years have been on the down low. Europa presumably them or Forest (35 years?) then!

Why does it seem like Man U are determined to sell Mainoo? He's only 20, English international, homegrown. I haven't seen him play a great deal, but there was some hype about him earlier on. What's gaan on?

PSR. Same reason Anderson was sold, homegrown players are all upside in PSR calcs.

Although perhaps Amorim also feels he doesn’t suit their system (who does tbf)
