Win a few games and they're back in bravado mode, my girlfriends, sisters, boyfriend is a Man U supporter and suddenly he thinks they're gonna get Enrique in the summer and take Tonali off us, just because they're less crap than last season, I preferred it when they were irrelevant.

You think us signing Tonali is completely out of the question like? If we get CL football and you don't get Europe?

Yes because Italian clubs want him so he'll go back home.

IF he chooses to leave.

Or, worst case scenario, say "he only wants Liverpool"... 🤮

I never said it was out of the question, it's the whole "We will sign him, he's perfect for us" that grates my tits, the pompous matter-of-fact attitude that stinks. It's a lot more nuanced than thinking you can just cherry pick who you want, when you want.

Aye I suppose how it's put across.

We definitely can't cherry pick players and never could. Even at the height of our success we were knocked back plenty.

I don't think Tonali is going this year. He's literally played for us for 2 years because of his ban. If he goes anywhere, its city imo.

I think a lot of players have looked at Isak and realised its not always rainbows and butterflies on the otherside. We have a tightknit squad and a togetherness like not many other teams.

We are going places, albeit slowly.

Isn't that just how football fans talk about potential signings though? Plenty of that in the transfer rumours thread.

Besides which, I think he'd rather be part of our title challenge next season

Cheers lads, now I want a pizza for breakfast instead of last night’s crusty keema nan.

Sorry (not sorry) for quoting an old post but, fucking hell, man.  If you wake up with a naan bread spare, the only thing to do is hit that with some pasta sauce and cheese that bad boy up.  Instant Indian pizza.

Ffs, does nobody have real game anymore?

Was one of those where the refs decision on the field was always going to stand with the 'clear and obvious' threshold on both decisions.

I've never been comfortable with VAR only intervening in 'clear and obvious' errors as it gives so much room for interpretation by the referees and will always end up favouring the bigger club.

Just on this one occasion it looks like the bigger club drew the short straw and are throwing their toys out of the pram.

As much as I hate taking anything from American sports, a challenge system seems like it would be so much better.

Why ?

This is how you flex your big club muscles to intimidate officials into not doing similar to you again in a hurry. Get the media on about it for a week or 2 and get properly in the ref's heads.

On balance I'm glad we don't do this shit cos some things are more important than winning at all costs, but I'm convinced it's very effective.

Absolute softies complaining. We've had it done to us multiple times this season. Including against them with Ramsey sending off!

Get over it!

It was actually worse than that. Those cunts got him sent off.

I think of all the managers I recon Eddie is the one who gets into the 4th officials ear the least.

I know he's not the most attractive man alive and has more than a passing resemblance to a rodent, but the BBC really did pick a picture where Fernandes looks pure rat for this piece.Screenshot_20260509-112609.thumb.png.be975704eba11f5c8c1cc58d6cff4fc8.png

What the picture missed is Maguire to his left dropping a massive beefy eggo
