Guest Haris Vuckic
Rodgers' tactics Vs Moyes' tactics... http://i.imgur.com/M35qoHj.jpg I know triangles are the in thing in football graphics but how's he passing to Toure there?
Village Idiot
That just shows how awful Arsenal's defensive positioning in that particular still. They should be blocking more of those pass lines, not just Touré's. The idea behind building a triangle with your players is that it makes easier to create those clear lines and move as a unit while attacking, but the opposition has to adjust. Minhosa
Can't help but think they've been forced into a corner with that one. Rooney goes the pressure cooker boils over, he stays and they pay through the nose for it. Long term deal too. Ouch.
Beren
He can really hold them to ransom. They're so gutless and spineless without him - and no player would want to join for anything other than financial reasons if he left. Smart agent he has
Incognito
Remember that saying, no one man is bigger than the club. Obvious that in Manchester United's case it is not true.

Disco
Given how much they'd have to pay to replace him it probably just about makes sense.
AyeDubbleYoo
Not sure what it is about Wayne Rooney that he keeps warranting new contracts all the time even though he keeps agitating to leave and doesn't play to his potential very often. Image, probably brings in loads of cash with mungs buying loads of gash merchandise with his horrid head or name on it. He wants his slice.

Froggy
Based on him being by far our best player. Our second best goalscorer, our most creative and our hardest working. You are aware he has 11 goals and 12 assists in 28 appearances this season yes? If you think he's playing poorly just how highly do you rate him at his best? Phenomenal player. Ronaldo
He's a great, great player who's become pretty underrated in the last few years.
ponsaelius
They've been totally held to ransom because they couldn't get a better player so couldn't afford to sell him in their current situation. Done well there tbf to him.

I never said he's playing poorly, he doesn't deserve to be on 300k per week and no matter what you say isn't going to change my opinion. That puts him up there with Messi and Ronaldo in terms of wages and he isn't anywhere near as good as either of those.
Froggy
But he is just as important to Man United as Ronaldo is to Madrid or Messi to Barca. It's all relative.
triggs
But he is just as important to Man United as Ronaldo is to Madrid or Messi to Barca. It's all relative. It isn't all relative though. Cabaye was as important to us as Messi or Ronaldo to their teams but we couldn't just give Cabaye 300k per week
Incognito
But he is just as important to Man United as Ronaldo is to Madrid or Messi to Barca. It's all relative. Why? You have him now and you're sat in 7th?
Froggy
That's completely different. Rooney isn't as good as Ronaldo or Messi, but he's still in the bracket of the Worlds top players. Cabaye isn't. If someone like Shearer was in prime and still at Newcastle, don't you think you would give everything you possibly could to keep him? SEMTEX
If someone like Shearer was in prime and still at Newcastle, don't you think you would give everything you possibly could to keep him? Of course we wouldn't He would've been shipped for 12 million quid at the earliest possible opportunity.
