Guest firetotheworks
Depends what you class a "superstar" as tbh. The Real team may be "full" of them now, but for example was Benzema a "superstar" in 2009 when he signed? His goal record at Lyon was comparable to Giroud at Arsenal now He was arguably predicted to go on to be better than he already is, so I'd say he was, yeah. Foluwashola
I'm saying this as somebody who always admired, and favoured Barcelona. Have been to the Nou Camp twice. But the way they've been ran in the last decade has made them absolutely as much of a 'super club' as anybody else. Absolutely. Loved them as a kid and have been to the Nou Camp loads. Now just as minging as City, Chelsea, Bayern, Real et al. Part of the destruction of football.
Guest firetotheworks
I'd argue that Barca's always been that way and it's only really during that time when they had amazing home grown players coming through that they were really any different. They'd always bought the best players in the world, they're just absolutely shite at it now.

They'd always bought the best players in the world, they're just absolutely s**** at it now. This is true mind, pre Guardiola it was all mostly foreign stars rather than home grown players. Ronaldinho, Deco, Eto'o, Marquez etc etc, of course they had the likes of Xavi and Puyol too but in my life time this is who they were before Iniesta, Messi, Busquets, Pedro etc etc.
Bimpy474
Just seen Tottenham might in for Jeremy Toljan, for a real low price too. Really impressed at the Euro U21's. Shame we aren't in for him.

Bimpy474
He probably wouldn't leave CL Hoffenheim for us. True, but you don't know unless you try. Apparently he only has 12 months on his contract and wants to move to England.

Ketsbaia
Dyche wonders why he doesn't get credit (he does) but then signs Walters and Bardsley. What a clogger.

Mistle17
Walters is canny in fairness when you consider Burnley will play to his strengths. Ideal player for them imo. But Bardsley In no other 'top' league in Europe would he play in- absolute filth.
Guest neesy111
Never managed more than 8 goals in a PL season and has only got into double figures in the league once in his career.
Foluwashola
Dyche has done a brilliant job at Burnley. Must be some method in his madness. Not that they aren't rank signings.

Astroblack
Never managed more than 8 goals in a PL season and has only got into double figures in the league once in his career. I think that's what they expected of him, though. You have your 20 goal strikers and you have your eight goal strikers. He's done well for Ireland when you consider the age he broke into the team and quality of his teammates.
The College Dropout
Walters often plays wide amirite? Reminds me of a poor mans Dirk Kuyt for Liverpool.
Disco
He'll run around a lot and leave his foot in if necessary which is Burnley's ethos. Can't see them replicating their home form of last year without Keane and something different upfront so hopefully they'll do shit.
