Tubestationatmidnight
Seems pointless them spending 20m on a player. To get better than what they have they will need to spend 40m per player
Guest
I'd be raging if I was an Arsenal fan like, it's like they're purposely trying to wind their fans up now. 20m in installments FFS
Wullie
Seems pointless them spending 20m on a player. To get better than what they have they will need to spend 40m per player Is that how it works like?
hoppaz
Seems pointless them spending 20m on a player. To get better than what they have they will need to spend 40m per player That was Higuain when he joined Napoli now double it. Suarez plus a quid was the best one yet. They would have won the league if Wenger released his slacks that time around mind.
SUPERTOON
Arsenal have agreed deals for Perez and Mustafi according to the BBC. Not seen any of either of them, but considering the deals bent done across the league this season, on paper it seems a little underwhelming for them. They aren't going to get better than Sanchez Ozil giroud Walcott carzola etc for 20m. To get the players to improve them would cost a lot

Best part of 60m euro for 2 players who probably aren't any better than they already have
Village Idiot
Mustafi and Pérez are both quite decent players, it's just that Arsenal really needs more than that.

I don't doubt that they are but Arsenal have a lot of very decent players. To improve they would need to sing top drawer players that will cost a lot more than 20-30m
SEMTEX
Be class if they just randomly signed Messi for £200m. That's what we need. Rattle a few cages.
Ketsbaia
Seeing what Leicester did with Kante and Mahrez probably undid all Wenger's progress over the years He finally started to spend, then Leicester City won the league with 'Wenger specials'

AyeDubbleYoo
I love Wenger but he's taking this principle to ridiculous levels now. They're in for a tough season given how much other teams have improved.

Interpolic
West Ham have been after a striker they can spend loads of money on for ages like
SUPERTOON
Zaza to west aam for 25m. Is he even that good? Not when I have seen him, and not at penalties ? Think West Ham have tried for about ten different strikers above him, so that kind of tells a story as well.
Lotus
Do we know for sure that it's Wenger who is in charge of all financial negotiations? Surely it's more reasonable to assume the people who own and run the club will be.
