Groo
As a Swansea fan it feels good to see our owners being firm for a change, over the years its been depressing seeing the money going for players who are similar level to our best players and then seeing teams coming in for a cut price deal from us. Guest firetotheworks
You're all daft like. Plenty were trying to get you all up to speed on what the market value is now when it was pointed out that Sigurdsson's comfortably worth £40m+ and you were all insisting that it's still 2006. You all just need to accept it like. Unfortunately the club that we support needs to as well. It's 2017 lads, catch up. Even in 2017 he won't go more than half that, i'll bet money on it. How much did you lose mole?
Sima
£40m, man. Nee wonder we're reportedly struggling to get people in.
geordiedean
How can promoted teams compete like? They can't it's impossible. May as well just do away with promotion to the premier league and make it a closed shop like US sports are Leicester bidding more than clubs budget on 1 player......fucking Leicester

Beren
Tbf, if you're Swansea, £50m is fair. Their squad is pretty thin on quality without him and attracting a quality player to Wales now with all the money flying about in the league in more fashionable areas like London and Manchester is a tough ask. Fair play to them

Guest firetotheworks
13 goals from midfield - Only behind Coutinho and Dele Alli as central/attacking midfielders in the league, 14 assists - joint 4th highest in Europe alongside Suarez, and only beaten by De Bruyne and Eriksen in the Premier League, Arguably the best set piece taker in the league alongside Coutinho, Eriksen, and De Bruyne, 27, Loads of Premier League experience All at a team in a relegation battle. Meanwhile - Jay Rodriguez 6 goals 2 assists 27 On the bench for most of last season at a mid-table team £12m

Guest firetotheworks
Mole said about 3 or 4 million, didn't he? Nah, Ankles Bennett said he's 'worth no more than £12m', mole just said he'd be surprised if he went for more than in the low 20 millions to the extent that he'd bet on it. Foluwashola
It's fucking stupid money tbh, the Premier league is utterly disgusting. Need to stop being aghast at these fees but it's impossible. Swansea trying to flog players for £50m ffs.

Ketsbaia
If Swansea sell Sigurdsson they can pretty much kiss this league goodbye. No wonder that's their asking price.

leffe186
Also, if that Palace transfer is confirmed I believe we're the only team who still haven't bought anyone. Given the amounts flying round that's a bit surprising.
