If there are no signings to replace Cabaye and if we do get beat then I think there will be a lot of ugly scenes come the final whistle.

From another forum:

With Gouffran and Ben Arfa injured, Remy suspended, and Cabaye gone, our line-up against Sunderland will have a grand total of two Premier League goals between them this season.

:anguish:

Fucking hell.

And rightly so, but because we're 8th the media and pundits will be slating the fans for any negativity.

Defeat for us, without doubt. No Cabaye replacement, woeful performance, defeat and 90 mins of Wembley chants.....as grim as it gets tbh. And that's realism, not pessimism. Deeply regret getting tickets to this but will still cheer the lads on.

                              Krul

Debuchy      Williamson  Taylor      Santon

              Sissoko  Tiote  Anita

Ben Arfa                Shola :anguish:        Gouffran

.......at least De Jong has the unknown factor for O'Shea and Brown, whereas they probably laugh at Shola. Regardless, there's barely any attacking options there.

0-2

Eh? Wasn't Gouffran's just a small knock and Ben Arfa seemed to only go off with cramp.

aye, tbf Pardew was fizzing at the clopper seeing as he had an excuse to haul hatem off for shola.  He'll be alreet.
