Assuming the lump in your cheek is your tongue (and not JC's bellend ;-), but where does he rank in the following (players who did/can play centre mid, some not very often, in last 15 years; apologies if omissions): Acuna, Jenas, Speed, Viana, Bowyer, Butt, Faye, Clark, Parker, Emre, Barton J., Geremi, Guthrie, Nolan, Smith, Tiote, Cabaye, Abeid, Anita, Bigi, Gosling, Shelvey, Wijnaldum, Diame, Hayden, Colback. 26 players. Butt was a victim of the club's flawed transfer policy, in that he was never good enough (bar his season under Roeder) but was wheeled out for 90 minutes every week despite not being fit for purpose.
