Guest reefatoon
Looking at him, he deserves to be dropped. http://i.cubeupload.com/wlansh.jpg
Guest firetotheworks
I imagine he wont get a shirt this season because it will be impossible to get one to fit his huge frame, he must be on the same diet as Grant Holt. That is really funny.
Mattoon
Fat fucker, absolute embarrassment that picture, as if you'd pose looking like that!?! I bet Jelliot looks positively svelt next to him.

David28
If he did come back horrendously 'overweight', he appears to have lost it quick enough. Pardew is such a cunt. Not the best picture to be able to tell, is it Not from his body but if you have a look at his face, he really seems to have lost a bit of weight quickly enough. Good work Hatem. I remember when Barton was training on his own (when he ended up leaving for QPR on a free) and still played for us in the opening two games. This time it's not the club vs the player, it's just Pardew probably. Maybe Hatem can turn things around.

A player like Hatem on top form is the difference between finishing 7th and 14th. Imagine a three of Cabella, de Jong and HBA behind a top striker. Its a really fucking good attack. Varadi
Lee Ryder @lee_ryder 2m Hatem Ben Arfa played in #nufc 's 4-4 draw with Queen of the South today. Obertan also appeared. I bet at least 3 of the goals conceded were a direct result of him not tracking back.
Mole_Toonfan
Anyone who believes he came back overweight seriously is incredibly gullible, its another example of the club lying through its backside to force the player out and split the fanbase. He probably came back in good shape, hope Hatem out lasts all these c*nts.

He probably came back in good shape, hope Hatem out lasts all these c*nts. Well from seeing the pictrues it wasn't Hatem in good shape. But, like many said that time, it's not problem to get rid of that bit of extra weight in let's say one or two weeks of (pre-season) training. Were there rumours that he punched Pardew at the end of last season? Im starting to believe these rumours are true.

Ronaldo
I 100% believe he came back carrying too much weight around the middle for someone with a small frame and the pictures he posted substantiate that. Not saying it's any sort of excuse for his treatment but it's indicative of his 'couldn't really give a fuck' attitude off the field.
GeordieT
Were there rumours that he punched Pardew at the end of last season? Im starting to believe these rumours are true. Certainly rumours of some kind of dressing room confrontation. Bet Pardew is the kinda guy who hates having his authority questioned.

Mattoon
Elliot is overweight imo. without a shadow of a doubt. This is the worst bit for me, the hypocrisy of Pardew with one of his hoop lickers, The Blob, carrying far too much timber being allowed a free pass. If HBA took it to tribunal there's surely a case for descrimination there.
Tiotes Witch Doctor
Does a keeper really need to be as slim as a pacey, tricky winger though? Not that I'm defending Pardew or the club but perhaps there are different weight requirements for certain positions. Doesn't really matter because HBA clearly isn't overweight anyway. Smal
Elliot's BMI will be close to the obese range, won't it?

A keeper needs to be nimble, quick on his feet and able to get low, fast. So maybe not AS strict however still needs to be in shape and by shape I don't mean round. Guest reefatoon
Do players not have a measurement set and a set weight they can't go above? I am sure players are told before they go off for preseason that they have to stick under a certain weight etc for when they return, something that the physio's/dietitian/medics will all be involved in. I can't see it just being Pardew having a look at him and saying (you look fat, I'm fining you, you tubby b******). He probably did turn up over his allocated weight limit. Judging by the photo though, he seems to be in good shape now.
Hughesy
Funny how Nolan's weight issues were never a problem. Yep - I would say that Nolan was a fair bit more overweight than HBA.

Ste
You'd still want your keeper to be in good shape. Elliot is in awful shape for a pro footballer. I can't see a future here for HBA even if he does lose the weight and gets himself in shape. He just doesn't fit in with Pardew's idealistic view of a Premiership team that keeps clean sheets regularly and views goals as something to defend, no matter what time of the match.
