TRon
I find it really strange Pardew isn't at the very least keeping Ben Arfa involved enough so he can throw him on when we're behind for the old "bit of magic". Especially as he has proven that he scores goals against most opposition. He wouldn't have been phased by City's superstars like some might.
Ryan
Were there chants for him yesterday? Couldn't make it out but heard somethinp like it. There was coming from level 7, didn't really spread to the lower bowl though.
M4
Two years ago today. "For me, Hatem was the stand-out player today. He was taking people on in all areas of the pitch and even got two of the Spurs players booked early on. Hatem won and scored the penalty and you need players like this if you are going to do well. Such a class display by him on that day. Made the Spurs defenders look like fools when he got the pen. And that goal against Villa in the home game after that. pedro111
The whole scenario is typical of this club. This lad should be tearing the league up right now. Fucking Obertan came on and Ben Arfa probably wasn't even in the stands ffs. Complete joke.
Belfast Boy
I keep thinking back to when Pardew kept Ben Arfa on the bench with the likes of Raylor and Obertan getting in ahead of him and how bad it seemed. Then I think how good it would be now just to have him back in the matchday squad.

Zero
what if he fall out with the next manager then? What if he doesn't? jackpot. CL here we come. nah, seriously, the chance of another fall out is pretty high, given his history.

Twinport53
I suppose some people just like to pay good money to watch Gouffran track back. Swings and roundabouts.
Mick
jackpot. CL here we come. nah, seriously, the chance of another fall out is pretty high, given his history. That will depend on who the new manager is, if he's more like Sir Bobby in personality then it's unlikely to be a problem.

Tachikoma
Makes me sick that Obertan gets on over this lad. Doesn't make any sense Attitude over talent. Dangerous game whichever way you play it. Pardew clearly rates the latter "in his eyes". True gutter Hatem can't get a reprieve. Would be a huge boost having him back with Cabella on the left and Siem in the middle. Pardew didn't seem to mention "Chucky" either for what its worth. But maybe that's either a name I missed Pardew talking about or certainly for another thread. That wouldn't be such a bad thing if the desired attitude wasn't "suck my cock".
Sima
Did anyone else notice in the programme that his kit sponsorship is up for grabs? Includes a meet and greet/signing session. Would anyone be interested in chipping in to sponsor his kit if I got further details?

Sima
From £2,955 + VAT. E-mail sent for further info. Unfortunately there are only 12 places for the match that I can take as part of the sponsorship deal. I'm sure we can work something out closer to the time if this gets off the ground and a suitable 'company name'. I fully expect to be told that 'Hatem Ben Arfa is not available for kit sponsorship.'
