Infinitely Content
My sense is that as soon as he turns the Bolton player (Davies maybe?) he knows he's going to attempt to go all the way. Either that or he's insanely aware running at that speed that Cisse stumbles offside just when the pass was on. Anyway who the fuck does a turn like that, full 180 in that situation, perfectly evading the player. The best.
joeyt
Both great goals but I've always prefered his Blackburn one

Infinitely Content
8 minutes ago, joeyt said: Both great goals but I've always prefered his Blackburn one Aye, I was fortunate enough to be in the Gallowgate for them both, the Bolton one was glorious for the directness and speed of it all, but the Blackburn one was beyond belief. When you look at this still image, 10 or so yards into the opposition half, 3 players closing him down, a fully set back 4. How he weaves his way into the 6 yard box from that position and smashes it into the roof of the net is absurd.
TBG
Good goal, but what was he doing so far up the pitch? Can see why people sided with Pardew over Hatems lack of defending.
Kid Icarus
Yous are doing the wrong "Good goal, but" Thankfully Michael bodys is here to keep us in check.
M4
The whole team had been a bit subdued that day after a great run of games and performances. Just when it was starting to feel like it might not be our day, along came King Arfa to unlock the win.

The miserables are still strong and out there. Don't think that's even true, the whole team wasn't great that day, even though we were on a run of great performances, Benny one of the few who was at least trying stuff. I remember that match very well because I had to celebrate that goal while also making sure not to wake someone up. Like you say, if he means the team he's right, if he means HBA he's very wrong. The goal was very much a case of him being like 'right, fuck this, I'll do it" Sat the ref on his arse a few minutes later as well.

It was disgusting at the time. It helped a lot that nothing happened at another PL club, I'd be right with you if it had.
Mike
Like even now I know the comments under that video are fucking poison. He was absolute fucking magic and people talk shit. I will always be upset about this. Absolute fucking magic.

Nobody
Pretty much every player these days would have gone down from at least one or two of those attempted tackles on him for that goal. Yamal probably would still be down if it had been him.
Infinitely Content
I love how the forum is pretty much united in adoration and love for him. Even if thinking about him makes Mike want to hurt people, it's still a brotherhood and that's a beautiful thing.
