Penultimate touch is so so good

Underrated goal from those outside of NUFC - you rarely see people talking about it as one of the greatest goals in the PL era.

It's good but it's not that good. The turn to get away is superb but after that he's barely challenged and just runs straight up the pitch.

Again  IT'S A FUCKING GOOD GOAL, not disputing that but to say one of the greatest in the PL era is a bit silly.

Agree it probably shouldn't be in contention for greatest in the PL era, but it's a brilliant goal. After the turn he doesn't need to dribble due to the pace he carries the ball with and the perfect weighing of the touch on the ball when he goes past both CBs. Looks so easy but so few players in the world will ever be able to score a goal like it. The goal against Blackburn, the goal on Saturday just shows that he can reproduce those goals out of technique and athleticism.

There are better goals in the PL, however as opposed to the HBA goals, anyone can get a lucky strike of the ball to score a better goal and not be able to reproduce something similar ever again.

The first touch is arguably the best bit, incredible.

His awareness of space is probably better than anyone I've ever seen, even the times he continues going straight are designed to make the ball impossible to get. I've enjoyed watching many different types of player but the way he carries the ball is something else.

Aye, his burst pace is unreal. Remember his 5 yard nutmegs on Kieran Richardson as well? How do you even nutmeg someone from that far away ffs?

the dink at the end over the defender's foot from the position he was dribbling from at that pace was ridiculous as well, he absolutely saw that was about to happen and said gtfoh i got this.

Beating the final two defenders is so underrated.  Defenders don't just stand and let people run in a straight line.  He absolutely does the pair of them with the touch, timing and body movement.  Unreal skill that is massively misunderstood.
