Leicester :spit:  WTF

Bigger club than us like

Aye but there was talks of CL/EL.  Didn't expect him to end up at a mid-table Prem club. Maybe Sevilla/Espanyol/Valencia or something

Me neither and I’m not sure he suits them tbh, let’s face it he wasn’t staying so it really doesn’t matter where he ends up.

FCB is on the march , he’s out to cause fucking mayhem  :azn:

Still don't believe that Ashley wants to sell but if we're getting rid of our 'key players' while we don't have coaching staff, nevermind any vision or strategy.. Even that cunt must see that relegation is a certainty.

Hopefully this is indeed Ashley's exit strategy - to fuck us over as much as he can.. Infact  anything else would be a surprise, the spiteful twat that he is.

Good luck to him, there is nothing left here for any player of decent quality with ambition.

It's no coincidence that as as soon as Rafa has gone, we have immediately sold one of our best players. I think it was written into his contract that he had final say on any players coming in our going out (the one bit of control he was actually allowed).

Longstaff will be next with Hayden to follow. Rondon gone too so there's 4 very important players we've lost already, and can anyone really see them being replaced?

How anyone can now justify renewing their season ticket is beyond me. I don't even think I'll watch any of our games next season if this summer pans out how we all think it will.

Don't clubs go through a temporary transfer embargo during a takeover or have I just made that up?

Either way though I totally agree, makes any takeover even less likely than it already is.

It’s like adding a new manager in FM, taking control of man united, selling all of their players for next to nothing and paying all the shit ones £200k a week before retiring.

I’d imagine.

So at the moment, there is no manager, essentially no owner, the club has lost its two best attacking players for nothing and 15 million repectively, and there is no hint of potential incomiong transfers? Choas is the way of life at Ashley's NUFC.

Clearly the takeover has fallen through, so he's just going to sell off what he can, accept the inevitable relegation and gamble on bouncing straight  back......meaning we'll owe him another £50M for the pleasure.

Rinse and repeat.

This

Conspiracy theory: takeover price £350 mill including £111mill loan. Sell Longstaff, Perez etc etc, use proceeds immediately to pay off his loan, more profit on sale of club.

Actual theory: no takeover, just a s*** asset stripping owner.

Best to sell the better players before appointing the budget level manager.

If he has a buyout clause and I think Disco is right that he has, there is nothing anyone can do if that's activated. So doesn't matter if a takeover was only five minutes away if that clause has been activated nothing anyone can do

Was looking for a new contract and so it looks like they couldn't agree.

Can we expect the OGC winger to come in as a replacement maybe? Allan Saint-Maximin?

Seems we were in negotiations for him even with no manager.

Saint-Maximin reminds me of a Haitian Thauvin. Very talented player (great pace and very tricky dribbler), but his success would depend on whether he works with the right manager and is given time to adjust to the England. The reality of the situation is that he would be dumped on the pitch and asked to create everything for a manager that has few options and has only been with the club for a short period of time.
