Mole_Toonfan
What is it with us and stupid sounding sponsorship logos? Wonga was bad enough, fun88 is barely any better. Why can't it be Phillips or Sony...just any brand which doesn't make the shirt look like a piece of s***? Do we know it's fun88? Pretty sure nothing has been confirmed yet. Besides Philips or Sony wouldn't go near us.

Huwei or Weetabix or some shit. I'd take that.

For the people in charge it's all about who'll pay us the most cash though, and the bigger names don't need to be on our shirts as desperately as smaller name companies. Kanj
You don't get those bigger companies when the club has lacked ambition, been fairly irrelevant, and turmoil has always been around the corner. This is the first time we've had a positive season in ages, hopefully the club did the right thing and signed a very lucrative deal that isn't too far long term that way they can cut a new deal when we're stable in the PL and hopefully a top 7-10 side. Let's be clear here, if we have success on the pitch we'll be getting far stronger terms for kit and sponsorship deals.

We finally get rid of Wonga and their cheap looking logo and now we get fun88 which looks virtually the same and equally tacky.

Going off the thread title and assumed those who were saying it was the Chinese betting company fun88 in the last couple of pages were in the know. Ryder suspected that it's a betting company, but he also said it would be announced this week and it hasn't. People jumped on twitter saying it was Fun88, no indication that anyone in the know said it and it's people just coming to conclusions after Ryder's comments and partially wishful thinking. Stifler
If the rumours of a friendly with that Korean team are true then I wouldn't be surprised if it was Hyundai, or Kia considering that team are owned by Hyundai and Hyundai and Kia are the same company. Of course this is assuming Ryder is wrong about it being a betting company and a Chinese company. Ryder being wrong shouldn't be ruled out of the equation though. Kia or Hyundai would be fucking brill in my book. If only. I'm not even that fussed about it being a betting firm but at least it would be nice if they had a logo which didn't look like a cartoon blurb pasted onto a shirt. Sir Toon
I know nowt about Fun88 but luckily for us it at least isn't Fun73 as our 6 fingered mates would have a field day. Anyway, this from wiki: Fun88 has partnered with English Premier League football clubs such as Burnley F.C and Tottenham Hotspur. It served as Tottenham Hotspur's official Asian betting partner in 2013 to 2014 which led to the existence of Hotspur88, Asia's first and only Barclays Premier League betting portal microsite. In August 2016, it has once again signed a two-year partnership with Hotspur as their official betting partner in Asia and Latin America. Fun88 was Burnley FC’s shirt sponsor from 2014 to 2015. In 2014, Fun88 has worked together with Lamborghini forming Fun88 Racing to compete in GT Asia Championship. At the present, it sponsors Fun88 Racing to compete in Porsche Carrera Cup. Fun88 is also present in the MMA industry, partnering with Asia’s largest sports media property, ONE Championship, in 2015. Its brand ambassadors include Japanese AV star Rola Takizawa, football legend Robbie Fowler and NBA two-time MVP Steve Nash.
