Gillingham v Newcastle United - 26/08/14 @ 7:45pm (not on TV)

I reckon we can contain these guys pretty well, if we can keep it to 0-0 for 70 mins we can bring Oberwang on and nick it on the break. I haven't got a fookin' Scooby Doo what were gonna do on corners or free kicks though?!?

Does this count as Moke's banned game?

Yes.  Terrific foresight from one our purples to rule himself out of an inconsequential game.  Shades of Sergio Ramos.

Wasn't aware of that, was getting worried Taylor might ruin Krul's fantasy league clean sheet run of 1.

Crisis averted.

I would play this side:

                        Krul

Janmaat    Mbiwa      Colo      Haidara

              Abeid        Sissoko

Cabella                                Aarons

                Perez

                          Ferreyra

I would be surprised if it wasn't something very similar to that.

Can see him 'rewarding' the likes of Abeid, Obertan  :anguish: and Aarons for 'good pre-season showings'. Taylor the enforced change at the back, Mapou and Haidara coming on just for some game time. And then Riviere and de Jong up top to try and get some goals and a bit of confidence.

The other CM berth is probably up for grabs, could be anyone.

Mates who've travelled reckon it's been like a monsoon and wouldn't be surprised if there's a pitch inspection.

It has been pissing down in London since yesterday morning and only stopped about two hours ago, imagine the weather there will be the same.

Absolutely wonderful up here in gods country, but that's all we need, fixture congestion, gives Pardew another excuse to lose games.
