Unbelievable
"I don't shy away from it and I'm not going to hide," Pardew said of the increasing speculation. "I'm not holding any grievance against the media, or some of our more militant fans, or the guys who printed the posters. "I've been out and about and had a few fans telling me their opinions, quite strongly. A few cars are diving a bit too close to me. "I get it. I will go home, shine my manager of the year trophy and give myself a bit of confidence." He said all those things, but not in that order as you suggest, and they were responses to different questions. Are you in politics? http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/29472154 How would that be manipulation of any kind if it's a C&P job from the BBC article? Then the BBC messed up, because those quotes have not been said like that. You can listen for yourself if you don't believe me: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p026yh2l Interview starts at 7:

James
Regardless he still said it. I think he needs to wipe this wank stains Off that trophy before he can think of shining it!

huss9
just listened to colin murray on talksport - absolutely got it all spot on, especially about the bulshit around pardew's family. never thought it would be murray, but at last a non-geordie in the media actually "gets it". got it right about ashley, pardew, the transfer policy, the spending deficit, the free advertising, the debt that isnt being reduced etc - all without a single reference to deluded fan with unreasonable expectations. Guest chopey
Pardew has turned me into a bloke that's looks forward to games now so i can see how many we get beat by, in the vain hope that he will be sacked after the match. The international break couldn't have come at a worse time for us because he will see it as two weeks rest from the stick. I also need to see some strong evidence of the intimidation of his family because if there is none then he has just basically insulted the whole of the north east, to think we would stoop so low to get this wanker out of his job he got through his ability to tell convincing lies. LRD
Ashley's allegations about death threats to his family were never proven true, were they? Seems like a similar case here to make themselves look the victims.

Unbelievable
Pardew hasn't accused anybody of threathening his family, just said that it affects them. I would be surprised if it didn't tbh. This doesn't excuse him bringing them into this btw, but let's not go around pretending he is insulting an entire region because he has.
thenige
Why on Earth anyone would threaten Pardew's family. Surely they're already being punished enough having that smug git walk through their door every day?

Been said a few times on here but Murray and H&J after him are always talking about us like that and clearly have read sackpardew regularly. Murray had been spot on about us for weeks now. Yesterday one of the co presenters was trying to stick up for Pardew and Murray just started ranting on about how full of shit he is and how often he blatantly lies to the fans. Secondly, they said they had not advised him to stay away from games. Again, not quite the same thing.
