Going to the pub at about 7:45, hope its been announced by then.  Won't be the same thouugh as I am in London and no newcastle fans to celebrate with.  I was thinking this sense of joy is probably what it feels like to win a cup  or the league and being born in 1982 I don't know what that feels like

Can anyone explain how finishing 5th is proof of his excellence but finishing 12th, 16th, 10th and having an absolutely pathetic cup record is not proof of his mediocrity?

The people I'm talking to on another (non-Newcastle) forum don't deny that it's proof of mediocrity, but say that this is what we should be happy with as we're a mediocre, mid-table club.

It's hard to argue with them because if you say we should be doing better than that you're howled out of the place as a "delusional Geordie". We should be aiming for 8th-12th. 5th cancels out 16th, and the other finishes of 12th, 10th and currently 9th are exactly where we should be. They see no problem. I've cited the shit football but got "so what? You're still where you should be in the league". It's painful.

I was at a work meeting, and just saw this. My boss saw me smile and I had to make up a lie about my GF sending me a joke.

what kind of bleak dystopian office space are you in where you have to explain smiles jesus :lol:

He was just like ''good news?'' and I couldn't possibly tell him that I was happy because some English team had just changed manager :lol:

The media just spout the usual sayings of "hands tied" and fans don't like him to just completely mask over his pathetic bad run of results. I always have been puzzled as to how they really have not been questioning him on his poor tactics and results over the years.

Beardsley with Carver as interim managers might happen I think.

Terrible idea neither are up to being anywhere near the level to run a Premiership team - you maybe right but it will show exactly that Ashley doesn't give a shit about the club in no way whatsoever

Michael Owen lobbed in English Barclays Premier League's Fanzone

@themichaelowen A minute ago

Interesting managerial developments on the horizon. Some may think it is strange for Alan Pardew to want to leave a huge club for a smaller one but the scar left by months of abuse will never heal. Plus, the lure of going back to the club closest to your heart can never be underestimated.

"But nothing like the lure of a luxury car from Alexander's Prestige Motors inc. Your one stop-shop for all your luxury car needs. Remember, quote '@themichealowen' for a free walnut burr dash...."

tw*t.

Christ what a slimy cunt.

Neither is Pardew, and after all this time you still need evidence that Ashley doesnt give a shit about the Club. Pity you
