To be fair to the odious cunt he only said he's "tried" to carry the job with dignity. He's failed miserably in every single aspect but he's not strictly lying.

Him failing at every single aspect sums up his tenure thus far pretty nicely.

Until people stop going on mass nothing is ever going to change and doesn't matter how many protests are carried out. Any other club Pardew would be gone a long, long time ago. The fact he is not tells me Ashley just doesn't give a fuck and in my opinion is very bitter towards us ever since the Keegan scenario. All those fans who keep going and play the i support the team not the regime card - your welcome to your Championship football next year is what I say because in my opinion that's exactly what you will be watching

Don't think that would work either. In days gone by when clubs were totally reliant on gate receipts to pay the bills a mass walkout/boycott of games forced chairmen into taking action. We all know TV cash is the main money-spinner and the money generated through the turnstiles, whilst not insignificant, is reducing (as a proportion of the total income). It's not beyond the realms of possibility to have gate receipts of zero and still function in the PL. The money made from the new TV deal pays the bills and any extra simply goes into the pot, the fact we only bring in players using the money made from outgoing transfers only compounds the problem.

Honestly don't think Ashley would give a fuck if the crowd dropped to 5000.

You maybe right but it would cause a big storm - if not well the club is just going to sink without trace very soon.

For who? Ashley doesn't care, the fans wouldn't be there to kick up a fuss, TV/PL still get their fixture, sponsors wouldn't be happy but they'd just pump money into someone else. Ashley would just sanction a few more music gigs at SJP to offset that. Your average NUFC fan doesn't care anymore man.

If that's the case (and i don't entirely agree with you as bad press is bad press) then might as well everyone stop posting on here and just accept everything.

Saturday proved that thousands and thousands of people will still continue to pay their £569 or whatever to watch the shite that is continued to be served up by these cunts. Not only will they continue to watch it but they'll continue to sit on their hands and passively accept it because they've been mentally conditioned into to thinking making up the numbers is now our sole function. Forget winning a Cup. Forget qualifying for Europe. We're in the Premier League so shut up and be happy.

20 years ago we had ambitions of winning the fucking league. Now we're perfectly happy just to be a part of it. 17th is just fucking aok for Mike and Al. Don't wish for more, don't expect entertainment, don't question how we're run, don't dream of getting to Wembley, don't dream of playing in Europe, get used to amassing 40 points and no more. This is where we are and 90% of the fans are seemingly quite happy with it.

Fuck that

f*** that

You're probably right actually and for the 90% super fans (yeah right!) enjoy our Championship football next year - I'm at the point after 42 year of being a season ticket holder where I just don't give a fuck anymore and that is so sad for a club I love.

There would be an impact on TV money as its unlikely Sky or BT would pick our home games any more than the contractual minimum if the stadium was half empty. It would damage the image of the brand old chap.

I blame the premier league/fa for allowing this money grabbing circus and pack of vultures to get involved with clubs in the first place. The game is rotten. Sooner be in the football league. Pardew would be off to pursue his deluded agenda of grandeur and Ashley would concentrate on hollowing out rangers. Fuck good players and top flight; everything had been prostituted and I want a competitive club back.

He'll lose the job on his own. Doesn't need our help.

Fortunately I live in country that's 12 hours time difference. Like f*** am I getting up at 3am to watch a s**** football team.

Exactly, you can't polish a turd. The sack Pardew campaign isn't in vain, it's highlighted glaring facts which bemusingly many around the country have never picked up on.

Are we, is he suddenly going to turn things around? Look at the squad and his limitations and the upcoming fixtures, he's still fucked IMO.

Also the Premier League would definitely not like to see an empty stadium as it would be damaging for the "brand" hence their recent initiatives to boost the falling numbers of away supporters.  I don't expect they would or could do anything about it but they would definitely not be happy.
