Crystal Palace manager

Just seen a preview of his interview for Soccer Saturday. So pleased this utter failure and moron is gone. Talking about catching one team and finishing 17th. Happy times Crystal Palace, welcome to your aspirations and dreams of glory under Alan Pardew. He then describes that as glass half full thinking lol. The campaign of misinformation and nonsense brainwashing talk has begun in earnest.

To be fair finishing 17th is like the winning the league down there.

To be fair, reading their forum you'd almost believe that it was.

Nobody should listen to Merson, after all this is Paul "Aston Villa have better players than Newcastle" Merson. He's just so hateful towards us that he can't see through his prejudice.

The day that Paul Merson gets something right is when you need to start worrying because it probably means that you need to be sectioned.

Pardew was pretty good about us to be fair to him. He then went on to spout his pessimistic, uninspiring nonsense which would more than likely see his team relegated if it wasn't for there being so much s*** in the league.

That being said...probable results today;

Chelsea 4-0 Newcastle

Palace 1-0 Spurs

"Pardew is mint"

"Mags are mugs"

etc.

'They key to staying in the Premiership is to fall on teams when they're out of form, when they have injuries and suspensions...so this game hasn't come at a good time really'

That's right Palace fans, get fucking used to it.

I think I'm about to get annoyed. :hmm:

Just wait till next week when we appoint a 'French nobody' and a 'unheard of forrin puppet'

Just watching the montage at the beginning of the show we all know how this is going to pan out, don't we?

Didn't see it but I'm assuming the montage didn't show 4 consecutive derby defeats, Liverpool rolling in their 6th, rubbing Meyler's chin with his forehead etc.

Why would Pardew leave to go to Palace?

A club on the fringes of relegation which he is going to have to save. Remember his first interview, he didn't look like a man relishing a new challenge and happy to be in the job he chose. He looked more like a man going through the motions of something he had to do (the interview) and barely keeping the sourest of expressions off his face. Can you see Pardew rushing off to take a job where the pressure is really on from the first game, based on what we already know about Pardew.

I'm thinking he was pushed, bit by bit.. find another job. We'll never know what goes on behind scenes but there were plenty opportunities to give him warnings. So why walk, why not make Ashley sack him?

Does it not feel as if this was, to a degree, planned with how quickly we are apparently in talks with Garde? Did a shortlist exist before we even heard about Pardew in talks with Palace?

Did anyone in the media even question this? How often does someone leave a mid-table club, voluntarily, to take over at a relegation placed team?
