Newcastle Utd vs Aston Villa - 28/02/15

Recommended Posts

got 2 seats available for this. Make an offer. Strawberry corner so plenty opportunity to lambast the owner. Sat together.

I'd imagine you're unindated with offers.

Glorious opportunity to watch what is essentially the Club we all love. I'm away down to Welling to watch North Shields v Erith and Belvedere in FA Vase Quarters.

25 will likely secure both seats. Add 50 more and Man U can be secured also.

I will be at the shields game. Should be good fun

How you getting down?

Neither team has hammered anyone for ages. I doubt there'll be a hammering. 0-0/1-1 written aaaal over it.

Hull 0 NUFC 3 ???

We had less shots than them, a comfortable win but not what I'd term a hammering.

Newcastle 3-0 West Ham (Les Sealey edition) was a hammering for example.

Not sure if I want us to win or lose this one. On the lose side, this would be another and possibly terminal dent in Carver's chances of getting the gig full time. But on the win side of things, of our remaining games this is probably our best chance as it's at home against one of the relegation teams at the moment, if we don't win this one it's going to be tough to see where the points are coming from to keep us up.

You dont know who our last 5 games are against then?

As Colback is banned will NUFC finally stop fielding two defensive midfielders when at home (regardless of the standard of opposition)? Surely Carver won't start Anita and Abeid?

We're awful at defending and not much better at attacking. If we must be s*** I'd rather we went down trying to attack than trying to defend.

Apparently Cabella might be fit for this game.

I'd pick: -

                          Cissé    Perez

                              Sissoko

Obertan or Ameobi Abeid  Cabella

The defence picks itself.

Cabella's out so I'm changing it to: -

                          Cissé    Perez

                              Sissoko

                  Ameobi Abeid Obertan

What squad depth we have, thanks Mike Ashley!

Probably the worst time to be playing some of those sides mind, not that I think we've much chance of going down.

Yes we have winnable games at the end of the season but you don't want to wait until then to be picking up needed points. A win against Villa and we are virtually safe, plus there is the added bonus of putting them in the shit as well.

Guest Roger Kint

Looks like most of their defence is out.

Nigh on all of it unless they patch up a few. Only Okore or whatever his name is for their first/second choice back four left

AVFC: Club captain Ron Vlaar is suspended and Kieran Richardson, Philippe Senderos, Libor Kozak and Chris Herd are all missing due to injury. Alan Hutton, Aly Cissokho and Nathan Baker are doubtful.

1-1, early goal for us and then a nervous 75 minutes followed by a late equaliser.

Boos ring out at the end, Carver goes fucking ape and walks out of the presser because, and I quote, "Nobody is listening to me"
