I can't tell who is joking now when they comment that flogging some gear will help us with our PSR issues

It's obviously a drop in the ocean. It'll barely make a dent. It'll effectively help with Elanga's wages for a few weeks, or whatever

@Shearergol returning his as we speak.

Sweatshirts gone from JD completely now. Both there and Fenwick said they aren't getting any restocks as well.

For what it’s worth Arsenal 92-94 range is fully stocked in all sizes on the adidas app. So either they’ve restocked or Arsenal fans just aren’t as bothered about their retro range

Arsenal have a massive global fanbase sp they can probably justify a larger production run. Demand for our gear is intense but mostly focused on one small geographical area. They don’t want a scenario where they had a tonne of dead stock.

Have Adidas even announced that this range is limited to the stock available upon release? Lots of people seem to be saying this, but is it on assumption that the Originals gear they've released over the last couple of years were limited?

Staff in the club shop said it's not being restocked.

Mental that like 😄. I'll probably buy the away top later down the line. I would have been all over the tracksuit top if they had released that from the same range but for some reason they haven't. It's all class gear like but can't really justify it after all of the money spent on matches recently.

I think that there is some myth and misconceptions going about.

Let’s say the club sells 10k of each item, that comes to just over £3m in revenue, you can bet that about 75% if not more of that will be profit. This is assuming the club sells those numbers directly. Sales through Adidas, and JD will be less. It’s not an insignificant number really, and honestly 10k of each item is probably a realistic target, and I’d be they will beat that. We’ll never get those numbers to confirm though.

I think a huge problem for us right now is that this release will have been done with just in time delivery in mind. The factories that made these will have changed lines now with the World Cup and the new season not far off they will be starting earlier than usual to ramp manufacturer shirts etc. On top of this Liverpools version of this is due to be released in the coming weeks. So the factory will have switched over to something els and there is likely less to be factory availability anytime soon to get it going.

You’d hope the club and Adidas anticipated a strong demand and have us pencilled in somewhere if we did need more on top of our original order.

There is also a misconception about how they calculate demand. Both the club and Adidas will have insane amounts of data going into this release. So the possibility of them creating say 40k but only selling 10k as someone said is very small. On top of this if we did have excess stock, there is no reason why the club can’t sell that directly on to Z retailers. These are retailers who will buy excess stock, like TK Maxx, M&M Direct, even the likes of mystery football shirt and dare I say it, Sports Direct will be interested in the stock at the right price. It would mean that the club don’t have to store stock, and don’t have to have it discounted forever on the shelves.

There's absolutely no way the club get anywhere near 75% profit from the sale of Adidas merchandise man

It depends really. If they are selling themselves they likely do. No chance for stuff being sold via Adidas or JD.

Even stuff sold by the club shop they're getting nowhere near 75%. It'll be about a tenth of that

Very disappointing this but not surprised. It’s a grifters world.

How many of each item could you purchase  in a single transaction? I’d imagine some were loading multiple of every size.

Yeah, there definitely needs to be limits for ranges like this.

That’s shit. I’ve got lucky this time but limit should be maximum one item type in one size, so one each of the shirt, tee, sweatshirt and drill top per person. Anything else leaves it open for gouging.

Daft they've bulk purchased the actual away kit to try and sell for a hefty profit. The club shop had literally hundreds in stock last night before KO. Hope it bites them in the arse and costs them a few quid. Probably won't though.
