Someone made it more black than white. Look how easy that is man.

We haven't really earned a golden badge though...

Think adidas are just taking the piss now and whoever signs this shit off at the club wants sacking. Hopefully fans hit them where it hurts and refuse to buy this shit I know I certainly won’t be.

I’m not even buying it even if it goes on sale, same as this seasons.

I thought this seasons was bad enough with the fuzzy lines, but next seasons takes the absolute piss.

Mind you, people went out there with to get some of the Puma efforts with Wonga slashed on the front of it.

That will surely be the worst black and white Newcastle shirt of all time

Dunno like, that weird Puma one that looked like a bib (2014) was atrocious. Personally I think the original barcode strip everyone loves is worse than this. Can’t imagine the twitter outrage if it was around back then.

ultimately a couple of nice tracksuit tops and retro releases aside Adidas has been unoriginal and utterly shit for Newcastle

I liked the first Adidas kit, simple but not in a bad way (obviously helped by being the trophy kit)

And this season's blue shirt is an absolute beauty... But we've completely ruined it.

The tale of two kits made by the story behind them. I’d say last season’s kit was okay - good nod to the sir Bobby kit but nothing special - but it was the trophy-winning kit.

This season’s blue kit is a banger, good nostalgic nod and would have been an absolute classic. But it will be associated with our away form (or lack of it) in this year. Not to mention losing a derby with it.

Read on one of those fb fan pages that were not wearing the new kit on Sunday cus the club are reviewing the design after the backlash to the shirt on social media [emoji38][emoji38] people really cant be that thick surely lol

The complete lack of detail on the inside collar of that image suggests it's still a mockup. I mean, it's clearly gonna be that now, but that still isn't an official photo i'm guessing.

The way the shoulder stripes don't even match up with the position of the sleeve stripes has me doing a full Raymond Babbitt

Officially official (according to FH):

It's very close to being right, but I'm looking at a photo of the actual kit on one of our players from the photoshoot right now, and the black stripe in the middle is definitely about an inch thinner, and is definitely centralised on my photo, pulling in all the stripes towards the middle more.

The NUFC badge and the Addidas badge sit centralised in the middle of the biggest white stripes. At least on the size shirt that this specific player is wearing.

What about the stripes on the sleeves not aligning with the stripes on the shoulders though ?

The shirt should be burnt in the fires of hell for that alone.

Still think it's lush and everyone else has lost it.

I don't mind it either. It's not great but it's better than last years and I think it's a good idea to switch it up once in a while.
Adidas have been marketing football shirts for over 50 years now, they know better than anyone else what does and doesn't sell.  Deviations from tradition must sell well because they've been doing them for various clubs for many years now.

Anyone who thinks the social media outrage we've seen over this shirt means it will sell poorly is mistaken, I think.

If a plain black and white stripe polo shirt design was going to be the greatest selling shirt in history then that is what we would get, year after year. The club and adidas aren't interested in being creative or innovative, they just put out what will sell.

My pal was a football shirt designer for the elite global clubs and he would sometimes put controversial designs out there just to be a rascal.
