He's clearly a massive pedo.

Won't comment on the fact that a retired teacher living in Thailand can sell an asset worth £350k to go see a fucking football tournament while young families with children can't afford to buy a home and get away from the rent seeking landlord.

he'll fit right in then. tbf.

It looks like a quagmire of dross. Although to be fair the games involving 2 pish teams can sometimes end up being fun. Forget tuning in for Spain, France or Brazil, I'm clearing my diary for Ecuador vs Curacao

I think with there being 12 groups, most third-placed teams qualifying, and the quality being diluted, the group stage is going to have zero excitement and will just feel like an extension of qualifying.

Surreal atmosphere this morning at the bar where I get coffee every day...from Monday to Saturday baristas and customers talk about football during those 10-minute coffee breaks (AC Milan fans making fun of Inter fans and vice versa).

Today no one spoke !! No anger, no disappointment, just a desire to remain silent.

This summer I'll rely on memories...

The greatest celebration ever.

Condolences to all Italian football fans. Lots of memories - you have a much better international record than England obviously.

Shame there's no Romania or Georgia who both brought a bit of fire and magic to the recent international competition. Wonder who will step forth from the shadows this time, hopefully the Uzbek boys.

Turkey are always good value.

I feel like we need two or three bingo cards/drinking game cards to get us through the early rounds. A general World Cup one, an England one and maybe a forum one, although that would be open to abuse.

 This is all so fucking stupid. One great pity is that it feels like the US is the one country that could have conceivably had thousands of expats from every country at every game, but FIFA, US pricing and the economy will remove any chance of that happening at scale.
