But there comes a point where every fan will eventually turn around and say 'no, enough is enough' to their own team. So it's going to be an almighty hard sell to get casual/neutral fans to fork out hundreds of dollars for some of the dross fixtures being served up. $400 for Jordan vs Algeria in a soulless stadium filled with neutrals who couldn't give a fuck about either of those countries is as utterly obscene as it is preposterous. Its not just football though, pretty much every other American sport/event is the same (as the PL is essentially American run now). All top level events are happy to have zero atmosphere and people with social clout and throw away money there over people that have an actual interest. You would think there has to be a breaking point somewhere. USMNT has found that in lots of markets. Empty stadiums for match days because ticket prices are so high. Feck wrestlemania is just as bad. My gooner yank friend is looking at tickets for England pre tournament game in Tampa. I asked her if she was a masochist!
