Aren't you brave?

Well, compared to a boring little wanker like you, no doubt.

Then again it really should have been obvious that I wasn't genuinely claiming that was controversial.  Obvious sarcasm to most people I'd think.

Yes. I'm not really comfortable with the Saudis and I lived in Australia for a few years so lost a bit of interest.

Tbh Ireland are my main team these days, it's why I love international breaks

Fuck around and find out. Football fans are easy to exploit and rip off by leveraging their loyalty and love for club/country.

But there comes a point where every fan will eventually turn around and say 'no, enough is enough' to their own team.

So it's going to be an almighty hard sell to get casual/neutral fans to fork out hundreds of dollars for some of the dross fixtures being served up.

$400 for Jordan vs Algeria in a soulless stadium filled with neutrals who couldn't give a fuck about either of those countries is as utterly obscene as it is preposterous.

Its not just football though, pretty much every other American sport/event is the same (as the PL is essentially American run now). All top level events are happy to have zero atmosphere and people with social clout and throw away money there over people that have an actual interest.

You would think there has to be a breaking point somewhere. USMNT has found that in lots of markets. Empty stadiums for match days because ticket prices are so high. Feck wrestlemania is just as bad.

I ceased watching Engerrland about 8 yrs ago. I was at Ayresome Park in 1966 as a 11yr. Old and thought we won it every time!😝 Know doubt " it's coming  home" will be wafting through the airwaves in the UK. My gooner yank friend is looking at tickets for England pre tournament game in Tampa. I asked her if she was a masochist!

Having the WC in the US is a travesty, especially when ICE will be at the games and the fact many Latinos will be up for watching the games.

Absolute shit show.

$400 is insane for that game. I was going to buy tickets for Canada vs Bosnia and it was $1500 a ticket.

I think Ghana vs Panama is around $400 here too.

Have they explored the option of making the tickets affordable?

Infantino says its not that high a price to pay when you are experiencing "Premium Passion"

Premium Passion?

Would that be packed out, purpose built football stadiums belonging to famous/iconic clubs in football mad countries which already have existing transport links and infrastructure which serve the stadium where the locals would snap up reasonably priced tickets, embrace whichever team they find themselves sitting amongst and contribute to the atmosphere the same way they do for their club/national team?

Was about to post the same.

Absolutely disgusting.

Please reserve your venom only for the good people governing the City of Boston. Wait til you see the taxes on your hotel rooms.

But yeah, it is disgusting. Just be thankful you don't have to play in San Francisco.

No.

That's "Ultra Premium Passion Deluxe".

Way more expensive...

Watch it be the one England wins and forever when it is talked about that mad cunt trump will get mentioned, that would be just our luck.😀
