Strong statement from FIFA, making them play behind closed doors while they attempt to qualify for a World Cup being held in a country where being gay is entirely illegal.

What a messed up world we live in.

Ugh, we really need bin all that 'it's coming home' shite off. The original meaning has been totally lost now and it just makes us look like a bunch of arrogant dickheads.

Or you could not take life too serious and enjoy the song and a touch of piss taking.

Saudi Arabia are top of their qualifying group. They should qualify with 4 games left. that would really piss on Qatar's chips

Australia have to beat Saudi Arabia (in KSA) and Japan to qualify - not going to happen. KSA are as good as qualified already.

If players and national teams collectively walk away from competing in the world cup it would be absolutely incredible imo and would pretty much be the only thing that would ever change anything. I'd also have the utmost respect for any player that walks away knowing that they'll have changed pretty much nothing and sacrificed player at the World Cup for what they believe in. Pretty much everything is probably cheap, including talking about it. We'll get to witness first hand just how full of shit 90% of the people who had a problem with the Newcastle takeover are.

I'd love it if all the teams boycott it, but they won't. It'll just be "it's problematic"-talk but money will win in the end, as always.

Not looking forward to this world cup at all. It just feels rotten to the core.

Or confirmed now that would be Portugal v Italy rather.

Would also be Wales at home. Gutted about that bit, felt was v important for Scotland to be at home, whoever we're playing.

Previous history would see that home advantage in playoff / vital games hasn’t served us that well, see Romania in 1993, Russia in 2004 and Ireland in 2018. You can also factor in that we rarely play well in back to back games due to our players lack of fitness. All being said it’s probably the more favourable draw out of the lot ?
