So many massively talented players who are a bit different to what we have had at times in the past. It has seemed like for quite a while, we don't know how to get the best out of them. Those games aren't real; England didn't win a single game during the last one yet still got to the Euros final. After peaking with Euro 2020(1), I feel extremely ambivalent about England atm. Carsley needs to be building a far better CV and getting far more experience before he is anywhere near the England job full time, and a display like that was evidence of it, it really was complete garbage. One of Foden or Bellingham will have to be benched. It's shit for them but it's a great problem to have. We just need a manager with a pair of balls who is prepared to make the tough decisions. Southgate certainly wasn't it and it looks like Carsley is just as wet. I like his attacking intent but he's coming across a bit Steve Bruce at the moment.
