Impressed by Croatia as always, some lovely incisive attacking play - something we lack thus far. Gordon and Madueke just don't have that kind of quality imo, especially the latter who is often a little hesitant and caught in two minds.

England have done well to get the wide players the ball in space, Palmer right Rogers left would have been far more dangerous.

I prefer this use of VAR tbh, in the PL that would have been a 6 min check. VAR becomes the central story to everything. ‘Was he offside’, no, ok let’s check the move proceeding that, was that a foul etc etc. sucks the joy out of football.

I mean it's incredibly close.  So it's pretty reasonable to question the seemingly instant check and not showing the result.
