mrmojorisin75
Brighton would be an excellent fit for him imo, similar to what I was saying yesterday. Get Knockaert and March or whoever whipping crosses in for him.
Ashley17
Just pushing us closer to the championship if we sell to our rivals If that was us, you'd be moaning about buying one of our relegation rivals' second, third or fourth choice striker. Fair comment tbh. We already did that with Joselu

triggs
It's strange this like. Spend most of the season saying how certain players aren't good enough yet soon as they're linked away, "Oh, don't sell him to them just in case". We have a squad of 25, only way we'll improve is if we get rid of some of these and buy players Benitez feels is better for us. If that means selling to someone in a similar position to us then we should live or die by that. Swansea sold Shelvey to us two seasons ago and it worked out well for them
Stottie
I'd sell him to anyone if the money went on a player high up Rafa's list. It'll only strengthen a rival in relative terms if we don't spend the money.
Zero
And now the replacement is a Dutch 27 years old. People still think we should sell Mitro then?
shakey jake
Surely rafa would rather sell him to a rival. Clearly doesn’t rate him so would be weakening them so to speak. Althiugh I disagree completely
Dr.Spaceman
And now the replacement is a DANE 27 years old. People still think we should sell Mitro then? Can't be signing 27 year old Danes ffs. Would it change your mind at all if he's a Dane?

If the manager doesn't rate or like mitro then he's best getting rid off for someone the manager who will play.
Dr.Spaceman
Just as long as he's not Dutch. Or Danish.

I love Mitro, but if Rafa want Jørgensen and Brighton want Mitro, I'd be inclined to trust Rafa and roll the die with selling Mitro to a rival. If he's not good enough for us we should still be better than Brighton if we bring in a first choice striker, in theory.

Guest
If we rated Joselu at £5m and the club value him more than Mitrovic, in theory we should be happy to take about £4m for him?

Guest
It just goes against the '£10m buys you someone who can kick the ball forward' quote or whatever it was that's all.
Ketsbaia
And we've played Brighton twice so he can't score against us. Maybe his goals help them beat Stoke, Huddersfield etc, which could be what we need.
mrmojorisin75
Let's face it if we're after this Danish lad Mitro needs to go, who gives a fuck whether Brighton or someone else buy him? We have to keep ourselves up.

I imagine there are probably subtractions within that equation relating to getting yourself sent off or banned.
Minhosa
Imagine Mitro was still at Anderlecht with exactly the same record and we had the choice of him or Jorgensen. Who do you think the majority would want to sign? Be an interesting poll.

Who do you think the majority would want to sign? Be an interesting poll. Not really, you know who'd win I genuinely don't . I can see arguments for both (hypothetical) in so much as Holland is a stronger league, Mitro had never scored as many as Jorgensen in one season but also that Mitro is younger and probably would have had a higher reputation by this point. samptime29
This Mitro situation has been such a waste all round. Annoying. Just seems weird we're bidding for this Danish lad, and it really doesn't appear he's any better than Mitro. I get it because Rafa doesn't "fancy" Mitro but still. Mitro hasn't actually been very good for us even when he has played. In fact his terrible finishing was one of the reasons we got relegated.
