I think Lascelles deserves to go even more on merit that Shelvey for what he's done for NUFC this season. But due to the competition in each respective position, you know there's more chance of Shelvey (rightfully) going. Not to mention a lot of Lascelles' work here is with his authority. Couldn't see that translating well to the England set up. Poor little Dele would probably be the first to go crying to Southgate about how Jamaal is just too mean. There'll be players playing this World Cup for Panama, Iran etc who will be International class as far as their Nations are concerned. When you look at Lascelles rivals for an England place I personally think it's pretty harsh that he hasn't made that squad when you look at who has. I don't like the England National team so personally I couldn't care less but I'm disappointed for him and Shelvey as I think they've both done enough to earn a place when you look at some of the players who will be on the plane.
