Skeletor
One of the key things about a takeover in the summer is removing the possibility of him being sold for the lolz.
Dave
Which clueless cunt made this numpty the club captain?
Altamullan
Disappointed he gave that interview saying we were going to put in more effort than Man Utd - really fired them up to beat us. gtf Imre, still doesn’t make it a good idea.
nemtizz
Should really chin Joselu and Gayle into form.
TRon
I thought his fighting talk would come back to bite him on the arse, but he backed it up along with his teammates so fair play. Outstanding performance personally as well, up there for MoM if it wasn't for Shelvey.
louistoon
One of the key things about a takeover in the summer is removing the possibility of him being sold for the lolz. I'm less worried about this because he's not the sort of defender top 6 clubs usually go for. If he was to be sold it would be to an everton or west ham or someone. Think they'd want to see one more season in this league anyway.

Infinitely Content
I reckon he genuinely loves it here. I don't think he'd leave unless it was to one of the biggest clubs in the country, Liverpool etc.
ujpest doza
Outstanding, absolute monster. Give him a 10 year contract.
Sima
Can't think of a better captain we've had. Probably ever! Best one since Shearer certainly.

louistoon
Can't think of a better captain we've had. Probably ever! Best one since Shearer certainly. I don't think even Shearer lead by example (at least on the field) the way Jamaal does. Possibly as its not really something you can do as a striker. Not knocking him like he basically kept us in the top half for 5 seasons, but Jamaal is fighting for our premier league status with every minute at the minute. Infinitely Content
Nolan was a fantastic captain tbf. Aye, lots of similarities can be drawn between the two in terms of their leadership, namely the state they found the club in and their passionate connection with the fans. Lascelles edges it for me though, due to a few things including his outspokenness, his age & the fact he was unproven before arriving here. Love him. George Bailey
top lad and an asset to the club. Long may his form continue, especially if he can forma proper partnership with Lejuene and bring out the best in him.
FustinoSolano
Strange to think this is a lad who struggled at times last season in the Championship and was possibly not even considered first choice at the start of the season. He's an absolute colossus for us now and is everything a captain should be on and off the field. He has also improved every part of his game. Shows true leadership, pride and courage and I think that's a rarity among footballers these days, he's a true leader in the mould of old style captains like Tony Adams, Roy Keane, Shearer etc but Jamaal fits the bill perfectly. Would be criminal to take the likes of Smalling ahead of him to the world Cup. (Not just based on today's showing).
TRon
There was a great interview in one of the papers today where he describes Rafa pulling him in on a Monday morning to watch video playbacks of where he went wrong, down to even how his foot is positioned . He does it with every player apparently, but doesn't lose his temper, just explains what they've done wrong and how to fix it.
Benwell Lad
Classic centre half stuff today. Love him.
Infinitely Content
Classic centre half stuff today. Love him. Indeed, won every header asked of him today, some of which were very awkward namely a freekick they had in the second half. What a defender he is. Guest
September/October when people were saying he should go to the World Cup I still thought there were 6-7 ahead of him. Now though, I'd probably take him with Cahill, Maguire & Jones. Edit: Forgot about Stones somehow so probably borderline.
nemtizz
We’re fucked if Cahill actually plays.
Guest
He's definitely overtaken Keane & Smalling since then anyway so has a chance. Will probably be Cahill with Jones as his cover, with Maguire backup to Stones as the ball playing centre-back.

Time seemed to stop for him as he charged around the box to get to it. Superb stuff.
Elliottman
One thing last year that pissed me off was his sloppy distribution. While he will misplace a pass now and again, he very rarely gives the ball away these days. Unbelievable improvement in every area of his game.
