NUFC_Chris
Why so long to convene a panel? It's not Xmas ffs. I do wonder if this was Man Utd or Chelsea if they'd be having these issues? Or am I being cynical?
Mick
paranoia? We were knocked back when we tried to sign Brad Friedel, Liverpool didn't have a problem although it was 5 or 6 years later.
Elliottman
What's the odds of it being rejected and then Man Utd sneezing in to get him and getting a visa straight away? like, none .
LFEE
How s*** are the FA if they all go on their summer holidays at the time when the window is open I'm guessing they are preoccupied with the World Cup draw and fixture arrangements. Only thing i can think of along with it is the main holiday fortnight in the UK.

timeEd32
Really is ridiculous. This is probably the most proactive communication we've gotten from the club in the Ashley era, so I suppose that's something.

mrmojorisin75
As a result he will now miss 2/3 of the available pre-season games. Mitro will only get 2 maximum as well aye? Urgh.
Mole_Toonfan
At least with Mitrovic we have Cisse/Perez and De Jong/Wijnaldum supporting them, at the back it's just dross all round.

James
Wasn't it a recommendation in last year's state of the game report that the FA panel should be turning down more applications with a focus on whether the signing could adequately be covered by an Englishman? For that reason I would be surprised if he gets approved.
Joe_F
Seems to think it's a formality like :- @KHeneage: No concerns about with Mbemba's #NUFC work permit. DR Congo are inside the top 70 of FIFA rankings and he's played over 75% of their games.
Nobody
I like that the club has come out and said this

54
If there was going to be an issue I would assume the club wouldn't have announced it, good that they did let us know however.

Altamullan
Following an agreement between Newcastle United and Anderlecht for the transfer of Chancel Mbemba, the player has been in Newcastle and has agreed personal terms with the Club and undergone his medical. The documentation in relation to the Club's application for a Governing Body Endorsement (GBE), required in order for Mbemba to obtain a visa, was submitted to the FA on Wednesday morning (22nd July). Unfortunately, the FA are unable to consider the Club's application until Thursday of next week (30th July). The FA advised the Club they were not able to convene a Panel any sooner. The Club will provide an update for supporters at the earliest opportunity following the conclusion of the Panel hearing. Grandmaster Flash (White Lines), has something to say: F**K BABY!! Your decision-making panel, are gonna take some time, While the rest of us, have to watch, defending that's a crime. If Chancel doesn't come, we'll aal feel really doon, An' God help you, you faceless twats, if you come t' the toon! So don't do it! FREEZE! ... ROCK!
