Guest Bordertoon
Yedlin would definitely suit that role, but Ritchie seems completely unsuitable to me. Nowhere near enough pace or defensive nous imo. Yes, perhaps Yedlin could replace Ritchie in that formation, and Ritchie could replace No Idea, despite the latter being one of our most promising prospects this season. We'd better send this thread express to Rafa ...
Leazes_End_Mag
Comfortably our best player today.
sempuki
Comfortably our best player today. Best of a dodgy bunch - agree.
tinoasprilla
id stick yedelin in for ritchie and aarons or murphy in the no idea space. Think they both have goals in them. im 50/50 on Joselu or Mitrovic. But id be tempted to sell Richie and Gayle if we got decent offers. Or had any chance of spending the 20 to 25 million we might get on a decent forward
Guest Bordertoon
Probably our best player today, and certainly in our top 3. Like many others, I don't understand why Rafa seems to rate him so poorly, but I'm gracious enough to err on the side of caution and concede that Rafa might know a little bit more about football than I do
Altamullan
Came in and did a decent job. Delighted we've still got him in the squad.
The College Dropout
Would prefer him at FB to Manquillo imo.
U2
Mbemba defended okay, but he looks incapable of providing a threat in the final third so I wouldn't want him playing at fullback regularly given that Rafa seemingly wants his fullbacks to help a great deal when attacking in wide areas. Zero
Well he is not a wing back so fair play to him. The question is whether he should start ahead of other CB we have. To me I think he is better than Lascelles.

Guest Howaythetoon
I like him, he's a good footballer but has brain fart moments. I don't think he's suited to how Rafa like to play, I noticed Rafa was constantly barking instructions at him more than others from what I saw on the box. The College Dropout
Manquillo doesn't offer much in the final third from what i've seen

We managed alright last season having Dummett never get over the half way line.
ujpest doza
Manquillo doesn't offer much in the final third from what i've seen He gets in positions but his final ball is poor.
U2
Manquillo doesn't offer much in the final third from what i've seen He gets in positions but his final ball is poor. Yeah, it's his movement more than anything that trumps what Mbemba can offer.

Sho Time
Merino was the best player on the pitch, but the Chancellor had a very good game today too.
Odear
Got rinsed a few times by Antonio but adjusted with the team and had a great game. He's given Rafa a problem now when LeJeune is back. Who gets dropped? Lascelles was also good today.
Sho Time
Lascelles has to be dropped, he can't be relied on the same as Clark. Lejeune will come straight back in IMO.

toontownman
Turned on and missed the teamsheet wondered who the beast was at LB has he bulked up? Looked largely impressive but I say that with absolute bias. Always loved the chancellor.
Guest
The irony that people call our LB a centre-back based on a few games there when our CB has been better in a couple of games at LB than our real LB.
Dan
Doing a cracking job at LB for a right footed centre half.
Rich
There's just something very likeable about Mbemba, looks very smooth at LB considering.
