Shak
Any thoughts? I have NO IDEA what our best team is right now. Perez and Wijnaldum being our two best attack minded players yet neither really having a best position is a real fuck up tbh. I'd be tempted to give Sissoko a go in CM next to Shelvey but choosing the rest of the front six is fucking tough.
Parsley
Perez was poor in the hole but much better coming off from the left. I'd be tempted to move Sissoko into the middle and have Perez and Townsend on the flanks. Or, if de Jong has to play, play him in the hole and drop one of Perez/Townsend/Sissoko. Deuce
Elliot Mbemba Lascelles Janmaat. Anita Sissoko. Shelvey Wijnaldum. Townsend de Jong. Mitrovic I have no idea.
sbnufc
Depends entirely on the opposition Today, assuming the mackems have played with 3(5) in midfield up to now, Rafa should have known that and matched them with a midfield 3 too - as proved by the first half. In other games we could get away with 442 or 4231
Kanj
Elliot Mbemba Lascelles Janmaat Sissoko Wijnaldum Shelvey Townsend. De Jong Perez Mitrovic Aka I have no idea too/fuck it.
KaKa
Sissoko has to be given a chance centrally with Shelvey at this point. However, we will need the central attacking midfielder to then be someone adept at really dropping and getting involved in play. Therefore has to be De Jong. Townsend must occupy one wide role. So then between Gini and Perez for the other.
Shak
Elliot Mbemba Lascelles Janmaat. Anita Sissoko. Shelvey Wijnaldum. Townsend de Jong. Mitrovic I have no idea. That's what I typed out then decided not to post. Had SDJ in the hole though.

buzza
In a relegation scrap the defense needs to be the first priority, then when that's right we can start to think about nicking a goal: I would go for quick counter attacking formation with a "solid" (all we've got) rearguard: -----------------------Blobby-------------------------- Janmaat------Fistpump-------Lascelles------Mbemba ----------------------Tiote (Saivet)-------------------- Sissoko--------Jonjo---------DeJong-------Townsend ----------------------Doumbia m'lord----------------
buzza
yOU COULD TURN THAT INTO A 433 EASILY ASWELL...
Hanshithispantz
Wouod just stick with what Rafa is trying with Perez (Or Sissoko/Townsend with Perez on the wing) out for Cisse.

HawK
Elliot Mbemba Lascelles Janmaat Anita Wijnaldum Shelvey Perez Townsend de Jong Mitrovic Is mine, but de-jong will probably play behind mitro. Mbabu when fit would be good - he looked canny on his few first team appearances.
Guest Phillipealbert
I think to have any chance, we have to go with this: ------------------------Blob Jaanmat---Colo---Mbabu---Bantz---Dummett ----------------Tiote--------Anita Townsend---------Shelvey--------------Thauvin ----------------------De-Jong -------------------Mitro---Perez
FustinoSolano
Elliott Janmatt Mbemba Lascelles Mbabu Sissoko Shelvey Wijnaldum De Jong Townsend Mitrovic Harking back to Euro 96 and the Venables Christmas tree! Probably doesn't suit Townsend playing in that role so maybe put Perez in for him.

Probably doesn't suit Townsend playing in that role so maybe put Perez in for him. If we had someone better them Lascelles and Mbabu at the back, and a better enforcer/ DM, i'd agree with this, but as it stands with that team I reckon we'd be on the back foot most of the game, and concede a fair few, Mmybe swap Tiote for Sissoko and put him in the middle and it might work. FustinoSolano
Interesting to see most have got De Jong in, a few weeks back and I doubt that would be the case. Hopefully he can stay fit and make major contribution. Clearly a decent footballer (when fit) and maybe has the leadership qualities we've been lacking all season. Cronky
If everyone is fit and available - Elliott Janmatt Mbemba Colo Dummett Shelvey Colback Townsend Wijnaldum Ayoze Mitrovic I don't really like our back four but our best bet is to go for familiar combinations in defence. Essential to have Georginio down the middle and going forward, because he's our best goal threat. And yes, I've picked Colback ha ha ha.
