Don't get me wrong, I'm not doing Shelvey, just the term "best player" is so pointless.

I still don't understand what point you were trying to make by saying that you wouldn't want Shelvey in the back 4, out wide or up front?

If you think it's a pointless term why did you have to say he's not our best player because he can't play in those positions instead of just saying it's a pointless term?

Simply explaining why it's a pointless term, best means he's the best, what is he best at, do we have games of 5 and in to decide or world cup singles (maybe too old for you) ? It is a bit pedantic and it was a throwaway line but it's somethong thats always narked me.

will he be moved on?, as he appears to be a liability, on the face of it.

He's our best player, so no.

He's not (I wouldn't want him in the back 4 , out wide or up front and there are question marks over wether he'll be our fulcrum if we get promoted) but he is important to us...on the other hand this could be the making of Hayden.

Someone's been accepting bath salts from his Russian neighbours.

Here's an example, if we had Olivier Bernard or John Beresford here now he'd possibly be seen by many as our best player but not the most important. Best player means nowt, it's a crap term. The most important need not be "the best" if such a thing could be defined.

He is the most important as well imo.

Seems like a sensible decision to move on, and concentrate on the football.

Shelvey doesn't come out too bad in my opinion, but he needs to be informed that he is now a marked man (in a sense) and needs to avoid anything like this in the future.

It could be the making of him as a man and a footballer, or it could all end very messy.

He's in the right place with Rafa though, hope he appreciates that.

Happy enough with that. If he didn't say it then I'm glad, but they're totally right to assume it wouldn't be overturned considering they've made the decision on seemingly so little evidence in the first place.

We'll certainly miss him though, it would be ridiculous to suggest otherwise. He's among the very best players in the league.

Spot on.

So basically looks like it comes down to the Wolves players being a lot more convincing in giving evidence than Mitro and Gayle, plus Shelvey bullshitting about the card gesture.

The defence seems weak to me as well like - "smelly breath prick" would be such a shit insult ffs.

This is what it all hinged on it seems. Shelvey's whole testimony was discredited by the fact he denied knowing about the card gesture, when video footage quite clearly showed the opposite.

That does read like he's guilty tbf. The sheer amount of witnesses from Wolves is surely a bad sign

For me its the bad defense from our side that makes him guilty. Their accounts seems to say different things as well.

Aye - they've taken Mitro along just to say he didn't hear anything ffs

Hard to pick the bones out of that one, apart from shelvey sounds like a right prick and that it's most likely from those accounts, though they don't quite match he's said something racist; probably because he's been taunted about being bald and to top it off the imaginary red card waving.

I can see why the FA charged him and he owes a lot of people apologies at the very least. For me he's someone I no longer have time for, like Bowyer he's here till he's someone else's problem.
