SUPERTOON
I mean even if he was staying, he wouldn’t be fit to start the next 2 games
Kid Icarus
It's a warning shot imo. We're playing silly buggers letting him go with no replacement
Weezertron
Was the Jonjo goodbye shown on sky? I was making a sandwich… hopefully I’ll get to see a clip
Smal
The midfield completely ran out of legs in the second half after such an intense first 45 and we had nobody to bring on there other than Anderson. It’s not a smart move to go into the last 19 games like this.

Wilson
He got a good farewell. Never been his biggest fan nor a massive critic, canny servant and pleased he's had a decent send off the neet. Wish him well.

Not his biggest fan either, but deserves credit for making the effort tonight.

Menace
2 and a half year deal at very decent wages I'd imagine. - He's done well for himself.

Superior Acuña
There was a sentimental part of me that likes having one of the promotion lads in and around the team. We've still got Ritchie and Lascelles, but Shelvey, while not a starter, was the only one left that I thought might play some significant role (e.g. if Bruno were to be out..) BottledDog
Felt gutted for him tonight and the timing of his injury. And for the lack of Mince Dracula action for the rest of us, ffs. Good luck and all the best JJ.
Nobody
He's been very up and down for us, but there's no doubt that he played his part in us being where we were are now. Both in the Championship season, and the second half of last year, he was arguably one of our most important players.
madras
Right, just watched Sean Longstaff walk into the dressing room on tele after getting his MotM award.........is that Jon Jo on the left? Edit ..aye it is....just mentioned. Edited February 1, 2023 by madras
Weezertron
I previously admitted to being so-so on Jonjo, not in a bad way. But the manner in which he's left the club has put him up a few levels in head. Not very often you get a player leave these days and feel like they 'got it'. But it seems he really did us as a fanbase and as a club. Edited February 1, 2023 by Weezertron
mikejaxer
Loved that triple Joe midfield last season, thanks for everything Shelvey
Decky
It must be grim for Jonjo to be in that dressing room tonight and then heading back down to Forest after it. The lad clearly has a spot for us now forever, he’ll always deserve a warm welcome back at SJP.
toontownman
Jonjo had a great redemption arc. Real shame about his injuries this year. He leaves with his head high though under Howe. Good luck to him.
nufcjb
Aarrghh..didn't think I'll be emotional about him leaving. But seeing him on the SJP pitch one last time, then that message he wrote, especially having Geordie-born kids, welled me up a bit. Hope he does well over there and he won't be a player booed back here for sure.
LiquidAK
Brilliant message. When the takeover first happened there was some interview where Jonjo basically said "I know the club will outgrow us soon but I want to be here for the start of the revival" - thought that was brilliant at the time and glad he got to have some involvement in a year of us being absolutely mint. Hope he smashes it at Forest and gets a bajillion assists for Wood

Personally would have liked to keep him for the reminder of the season. But he wanted to move on, so I get that and all. Good memories, though!
