When Grayson was sacked they were 23rd and two points from safety. They've had their new manager bounce, a couple of wins in that time and are now 24th and two points from safety.

Won 4 from 26 have failed to beat Birmingham,,Bolton and Barnsley at home. To reach Blackburns total that they went down with they now need to win 9 and draw 2 from 20

Teams at the bottom of that league rely heavily on home form, Bolton and Burton have picked up recently and Birmingham have just won 2 on the spin. The mackems only have 10 games left at home with some real tough ones coming up. Look at their remaining 10 games or so. Real tough fixtures

Its not happening these fuckers are League 1 bound

If that's the case survival will be a massive achievement for them then.

It's got to be their sole objective now, which is hilarious considering the way they acted towards us when we went down. Next year could be even tougher for them, if they survive they will see a big drop in parachute payments, still paying PL wages for a lot of their players who are quite frankly not up to Champo level. If they go down again, they'll be in an even bigger mess with still no money to get out of it. They may not get back to the PL for a decade or so.

Coleman is an idiot for taking that job under those conditions like

I was convinced he took the job based on transfer promises, but you are 100% right he has left a better job to go there, he must be getting a canny monthly pay rise.

So no one wanting to take their players either.

I can see the scenario being that they’ll sell the likes of Koné too late in the transfer window which will be used as a reason not to re-invest, but the money will go towards paying the running costs of the club instead.

They need a cash injection from somewhere.

It could well be that simple, he went for a pay rise. But it's ridiculous short termism, because he's blowing what rep he had, some desperate PL club would have given him another chance, I'm pretty sure of that, or at worst a Champo team with actual money to spend.

TBF they've still got a few small salable assets.

Khazri is in decent form in France and with the WC in the summer they might get a few million

Might yet get a couple for Papy if he does OK on loan

Couple of million for the £30m man Kone

Few million for Ndong

Brexitise the club as well as raise some money to payback Uncle Ellis and his high interest loans. After that they're absolutely hosed unless they get taken over though.
