Tiresias
He always had something about him that I liked despite plenty of pretty poor displays. Think he did genuinely like the area, but to go to sunderland, ffs.

Leazes_End_Mag
Santon or Billy Jones? I know who i'd rather have. He's an improvement on what they had.
Superior Acuña
Doesn't Santon have a geordie girlfriend and didn't really want to leave? Imagine he'd be pretty keen to be back in the north east. He was likeable and always wanted him to be better, but was pretty mediocre.
Billy2Sheds
Comfortable on the ball, decent passer, but he's not a left back. Overlapped well, but was reluctant to put the ball. Good dig, but never really on target. Defensively - cost us a lot of goals. Caught out of position time and time again. Pardew played him CM away v Chelsea when we got battered and said he played well iirc. Shit haircut 6/
Sho Time
Average at best defender, offered little going forward too. I don't think I ever once saw him go to the byline and whip a cross in, ever. Pointless cut inside and pass-back every time.
Guest firetotheworks
I liked him but he neglected his defensive responsibilities far too often and his forward play wasn't really good enough to justify it. He seems like a good lad though and the club (as usual) fucked him over. He'll be able to live in Newcastle and be with his wife from here as well so it makes sense for him to come even if it means playing for Sunderland. Exiled in Texas
You just know that he's going to be good for them, and probably score against us in a years time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
bhoywhonder
Comfortable on the ball, decent passer, but he's not a left back. Overlapped well, He did, but he never got his head around the concept of having overlapped and then lost the ball, you need to run like f*ck to get back into position. Not stand there all confused as if this is the first time this has happened. In that respect he was an absolute liability. He's moving to safc so he can be next to his lass in Newcastle. And possibly take Balotelli out on the piss in Jesmond again. That is all.

Cost us a lot of goals when he would just wander back instead of busting a gut and try and get back in position
Fenham Mag
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/santon-ive-never-seen-mackem-1403609 Not even a fake headline
Stuy_O
Santon or Billy Jones? I know who i'd rather have. He's an improvement on what they had. Defensively there's little difference.
Dokko
Fat Sam going with two banks of 4 with Santon playing a forward role? I doubt he's going to play him in a purely defensive role.
