NUFCDoog
These new reports don't say he's quitting either like? Just that he's "raging" - over the top maybe but I doubt it's far from the truth
HaydnNUFC
Not being funny like but the papers haven't been that wrong this summer tbh Yes, they have.
NUFCDoog
Still think he'll be gone sooner than later though fwiw
ponsaelius
no doubt the club have been fucking him around all summer long.
NUFCDoog
Exactly, I know it's cliche to fuck, and they do print some shite like, but there is no smoke without fire when it comes to NUFC. I know we don't want to believe it and instead insist that everything is fine etc, but these reports all summer are not normal, something is not right. Rafa himself has said he's comitted yes, but he's said himself he was frustrated at the start of the window - then he spoke to Charnley - if things are staring to slow again, contrary to them talks - then its very conceivable that them frustrations will be back. Its a matter of time before this explodes, I'm sorry but anyone thinking otherwise is kidding themselves and it'll just hurt even more when it eventually happens
Guest
Worrying but that Townsend thing just seems a throwaway line unless Ritchie is off. We've got 4 wingers now pretty much standard.
Alberto2005
I wish he'd just resign so we can get Danny Wilson in. It's way less stressful that way.

Guest firetotheworks
I don't think you can ever be sure when it's a choice between media honesty and Ashley competence, both have notoriously poor histories.
Guest
There does seem to be a pattern mind, whenever one of these stories comes, a player arrives. We'll probably sign Joselu next week.

Guest
I don't think they're linked in any way like. Just an observation. Then it goes quiet for 7-10 days, some article comes out, we sign someone within the week.
Mole_Toonfan
I believe everything in that article except the Townsend stuff, can't see that being true at all.
Billy Pilgrim
To break up the will he won't he drama, this is the most organised I've ever seen and am likely to see NUFC. Based on the pre-season stuff I've caught so far it looks as though we've gone up another level in terms of working as a mesh of tactical units. It's pretty impressive stuff considering the dross I've watched week in week out for most of my life.

It might be "boring and functional" to some, but at least we get to watch a group of players who know what they are doing. The possession patterns and the movement off the ball when we don't have it is very good to see compared to the clueless crap we've been served up for the past 10 odd years. We have flashes of some quality stuff as well, mind. Aye it was against Championship sides, but we played some great football last season, QPR away and PNE at home in the cup spring to mind. Dave
“When I decided to stay, I was expecting another thing,” said United’s manager. “Now we are where we are. I decided to stay because of a lot of positive things I could see, starting with the fans. “I will try to do my best to be sure that the team we have will be good enough to compete and stay as high as we can in the Premier League.” It's almost as though he was lied to. Guest
Doesn't suggest that there? He's said himself previously how the transfer prices have caught even him out. Is that not what he's referring to there?
thomas
I mean he could be referring to a lot of things but based on history he's referring to two cunts with the initials MA and LC.
Dave
Mirror reckons: The Spaniard expected to be handed a far bigger budget to spend on new players following promotion, but owner Mike Ashley is unhappy over massive wages being paid to players who are not in the manager’s plans. Alberto2005
Ashley will be more unhappy when we plummet back to the Championship. He really is a thick, interfering, two-faced cunt. He does own the club in fairness Nevertheless we should have shipped these idiots out earlier.
