NUFCDoog
Doesn't sound like he's on the verge of quitting from that then. When the time is right and on his terms suggests like many have said he'll see out the season. Or at worst when a team comes in for him over the next few months. All the murmurings aren't suggesting he's going to quit.
Unbelievable
I don't believe Rafa will stay out of respect for the fans. There's only so much s*** anyone can take from their "bosses" and he can walk off to a much better paid and more enjoyable experience at the flick of a finger, with the respect from the fans and the outside football world. I understand he would want to stay close to his family and he's football mad, but surely he's not short on cash and would be happier not having to deal with this s***? In any case, he'll be back in a PL job in no time if he walks.
Pons Alias
That guy saying he WILL quit pretty much confirms it though. End of season at best. Who the hell would want to manage or play for us after this?
Klaus
I would rather he just fucked off now, than hung around with the intention of leaving in a few months or whatever. The house is going to be brought down either way, might as well start the process asap. A manager with his ability and achievements doesn't deserve to be fucked around like this, I respect him too much to see him working under these shithouses. KaKa
Rafa is done man. He is only going to stay because he brought people like Merino, LeJeune and Joselu who wouldn't have ever entertained the idea of coming. He will be advising them to leave as soon as they can now though. For certain.
Big Geordie
There it is then - just a question of when, not if.
AlanSkÃrare
The obvious way out is the West Ham job when it becomes available. I think they're waiting to sack Bilic until Rafa gives them the green light.
Parky
Imagine if the players refused to play. That would break the regime quicker than anything. The PL brand would be in jeopardy.
AyeDubbleYoo
I guess outside of the transfer window he doesn't have to actually talk to Ashley. So he might just about be able to get through the season.
BONTEMPI
Whoever the replacement is needs constant hounding. The manager is not the issue. Whichever shitball they appoint will be. Whilst they still run things, lets make life extra difficult.
KaKa
We will not be able to sign any one of any kind of calibre after this. Back to punt after punt on the likes of Riviere, Haidara, Cabell, Thauvin etc. throw money at them and hope they show enough to go for a big profit. The club is completely finished. Rafa was the last hope. They killed it.
NUFCDoog
Bilic will turn it round, lots of points from their next 4 games so I don't see that happening. Can't believe he hasn't left already, was convinced he'd quit but all the sounds don't make it seem imminent. What a bloke

Unbelievable
I seriously dread to think what level of manager will want to be associated with these once Rafa's gone like. It was nothing short of a miracle that Rafa came and then stayed, but we're on the verge of Keegangate II here.
George Bailey
Whoever the replacement is needs constant hounding. The manager is not the issue. It is if it's a lick spittle cunt like Pardew or Carver: not main issue of course but big part and I hope if it is the return of the king or his like he gets fucking zero support. Hound the cunt as much as possible. He will be Mikes puppett and a legitimate target. imo
Guest
Only the sale of the club between now and May will keep Rafa here, regardless of what happens in January. The damage has been done and will be unrepairable. This Need that rumoured Chinese takeover asap.
Happinesstan
Imagine if the players refused to play. That would break the regime quicker than anything. The PL brand would be in jeopardy. Do you think? I was wondering about it earlier. Would the FA not just dock us points or give a 0-3 loss for every game we fail to show for?

thenige
I've said it before here and it's a crying shame but there is absolutely no incentive for Ashley to invest. He feels with the current manager and squad we'll stay up (and if not can easily gain promotion) therefore why invest? We're miles away from a Champions League spot, it's free advertising for Sports Direct and qualifying for the Europa League or finishing higher up than say 17th in the Prem isn't worth the potential outlay. The minimum is fine as long as you're not in the bottom three. TV money/parachute payments as long as you incomings match or exceed your outgoings is the way to go. Depressing as f***, but from a business perspective the only way to make money before any potential sale. Plus an easy way to stick it into those who have slagged him off and called him part of the "cockney mafia".

He is 100% taking pleasure from just winding up the fans of the football club at this point. No question about it. There is no other option but to empty that stadium each week to force him to sell promptly, because the media disgrace and the loss of money would be too much for him. Unfortunately, people will not stop going and it is what it is. It's really just a terrible situation.
