Away goals rule needs scrapping.

Why?

Monaco went and scored 3... THREE goals away from home. That was an excellent game. This was also a great game.

Why should that mean more than Man City scoring 5 at home?

The away goals rules is great. Responsible for some fantastic ties this year.

Robbed us of some cracking extra time.

Tonight is not the night to complain about the away goal rule mind, there will be plenty of ties where that applies much more than tonight.

21:22

It was Monaco's first attack of the second half.

City played a really high line and it was a free header for Tiemoue Bakayoko. You cannot allow attackers to get that much space.

There is another goal in this game, I put my life on it.

From BBC commentary

Letds see if Phil Neville is as good as his word  :D

Made that Barca game amazing, made this tie entertaining. ET is nearly always shite anyway, glad to have less of it. Players dead on their feet, waiting for pens.

Want to see how that fourth sub in ET changes things.

Personally, I think the "advantage" and "disadvantage" of home and away matches are over played anyway.

Factually - most teams tend to get more points and score more goals at home rather than away.

ET is nearly always shit too. It gets nervous and cagey. Can't remember the last enjoyable ET as a neutral besides goals (if that makes sense?). One team nearly always wants pena's, often both settle for pena's too.

The 2 Real - Atleti finals. The first time Atletico's legs went. The second both equally tired and happy enough for ET. Euros final - dull as fuck until the goal... then dull again. Portugal happy to string the game along for most of it. Even great games like Istanbul - crap extra time.

ET needs scrapping, it's mostly shit. Just makes players tired for penalties or a scrappy goal is scored or mistake is made. Everyone shit scared to make the mistakes too.

Pep getting a lot of stick on Twitter and TalkSport tonight.

So he should. Who would have thought playing one player in central midfield was a s*** idea? They were awful in the first half.
