Not really sure how a player, a few years stagnated but with international aspirations, choosing to chance playing for an un-preferential premier league team rather than a relegated one can be called a shitty person. As it turns out he's made the wrong decision, but he probably made the decision that was most likely to allow him to meet his aspirations.

I'd have him back, no question.

Question is: would he have us back? This is what defines a shitty person if you are a Newcastle fan.

Well yes, it's shit for us that he left of course :) I would imagine he'd come back.

The amount of names already linked is ridiculous, the window isn't even open for weeks yet and it's already boring.

You can tell we are aiming at strengthening spine of the team as priority the amount of centre backs, centre mid and strikers linked.

William Carvalho mentioned AGAIN. Silly season but can ya imagine having that beast in the midfield

He seems to be have been linked to pretty much every PL team for the last 3 years.  Can't say I've seen much of him - is the fact no-one has bought him yet relevant in any way?

Brighton in battle with Newcastle to sign Chelsea starlet Tammy Abraham

Premier League new boys Brighton are hoping to beat Newcastle United to the loan signing of Tammy Abraham after both clubs were given permission to speak to the Chelsea starlet.

Chelsea plan to secure England Under-21 striker Abraham to a new long-term contract and loan him out next season before attempting to integrate him into the first-team squad.

I'd hope Armstrong isn't our squad next season. He's not ready.

The question is when is he going to be ready ? Still young I know, but got a feeling he's stagnated a bit last season, expected him to kick on from his loan spell at Coventry but it was at best a mixed year at Barnsley, not sure the queue will be that long from championship clubs wanting to loan him next year and another loan to league 1 would do him little good, imo.
