Torres is 6 foot minimum

Yeah I forgot he scored so many goals due to battering central defenders in the air and his clever hold up play.

Dunno if you're being sarcastic but in his prime Torres was a powerful striker. Pace and power. Played as a solo striker up top. In his pomp for Liverpool he could do it all. Hold it up, link up, handle long balls, guard the ball from defenders and draw fouls, win headers, score headers, play on the shoulder, take players on etc. He didn't need anyone to do his donkey work. Very different striker to Dwight fucking Gayle who looks to me a quick player and a good finisher. Dassit.

 The example I always remember is Torres absolutely tormenting Vidic during their time together in the league.

However none of that matters now cause we have Dwight Fucking Gayle scoring for fun :celb:

The point being, the way he played he could have been 5'10 and still done all of those things. So yeah, I was being sarcastic just ever so slightly.

Chuffed for him. I just hope this doesn't dissuade them from spending on another striker. We're essentially down to 2 strikers even without injuries.

We have Gayle and Mitrovic, usually i'd expect the worst but luckily Rafa isn't that stupid.

Yep, Rafa will squeeze Ashley gently by the nuts and the striker he wants will be delivered.

I'd like them to go all out for a forward/wide player who can play both roles so we have some flexibility rather than buy a Crouch type or an average winger.

Should be good for at least 25 goals this season. I didn't know he was a free kick specialist so that's a bonus.

"at least" [emoji38]

Howay man

He's got 3 in 3 without playing particularly well and we are playing close to 50 games this season. What's so ludicrous about that prediction? Especially if he's going to be taking set pieces.

Which he's just apparently said he mishit.

It's the words "at least" man, if you'd said he could get 25 this season then no bother.

He's shite from what I have heard from the people on Newcastle-Online.Org.  He is only really decent coming off the bench to stretch defences.

They're all shite man. Two games is more than enough time to judge them.
