AyeDubbleYoo
Was his record in the PL any good? Admittedly he probably was Pardewed for some of that time. I don't know stats-wise but he always looked very sharp when I watched him. Thought it was a great buy.
TRon
Was his record in the PL any good? Admittedly he probably was Pardewed for some of that time. I don't know stats-wise but he always looked very sharp when I watched him. Thought it was a great buy. He didn't play many games under Pardew due to not being 6ft plus, but in the few games he did get on, his finishes were pretty good from what I saw. Decent from the penalty spot as well IIRC. Guest neesy111
Nothing more priceless than a player who can look a bit quiet and then takes the chances that come his way. This, sign of an poacher. Absolutely priceless they are.

Scotty66
He's an absolute goal machine. Would score goals in any league in the World . Ironic he was "not wanted" by Pardew
Conjo
He had best goals per minute at Palace the last two seasons, didn´t he?
AyeDubbleYoo
Palace also sold Murray who would've been very handy for them this season.

Ronaldo
What's left to say about him? We've needed a player like this for so long. Rafa (indirectly) electing him to be our no.9 was a masterstroke.
afar
I am happy to admit I was totally wrong about him. Thought it was a bad signing at the time, but his record is amazing, we are creating plenty of chances in games, which is a great sign but every team needs a striker that can take those chances, he's been fantastic so far. 11 Goals by mid October, that's probably more than Sunderland have scored all season !! An interesting bet that. Who will score more this season Gayle or Sunderland He's scored more goals than 9 PL teams have and the same number as his for club have scored so far. It's crazy really. FustinoSolano
His second reminded me of Tino's goal away to Liverpool many years ago, think it was in the second 4 - 3 defeat?? So nice to have a natural goalscorer in the team again, not only that but he also puts in a hell of a shift, reminds me of Bellamy in that way but Gayle is a far superior finisher. I wasn't overly convinced when we signed him but proving to be a huge player at this level, hopefully he can keep it up if / when we get back to the prem. You weren't the only one. Poor man's Asprilla v Liverpool that second. Gayle's second was pretty similar to Harewood's at Oakwell back in 2009 Aye, dink over the GK who's coming out. It reminded me of Ginola to Asprilla vs Liverpool in the second 4-3.
