Dr.Spaceman
Could have been worse tbh. He'll be back for some very winnable games.
Ketsbaia
Mitro and Murphy are good enough to cover him, it's just a terrible time to lose your star striker. Damn.
Disco
Won 7 of 8 games he hasn't played in the league is season btw. Scoring over 2 a game in the process.
sempuki
The Daily Mail reckon Gayle will miss the next 5 games for what it's worth Awful timing with those difficult away games coming up. Need Mitro to step up.
midds
Part and parcel of the game. Mitrovic and/or Murphy needs to convert the chances we're inevitably going to create for the next month. If they step up then we go up. Cutting out the daft mistakes at the back wouldn't go amiss either like. It's in our hands and if we fuck it up then we've no-one to blame but ourselves. Guest neesy111
Would like to see Perez given a go up top on Saturday. I think that's a very bad idea. I remember him vs Brighton earlier in the season and hardly noticing him.

shintonsghost
It all rests on Mitro, Murphy and Ayoze - hope they step up.. no it rests on Mr. Shelvey , we are rank shite without him, he's the key, him and a strong defence
Ronaldo
Would like to see Perez given a go up top on Saturday. It's slightly less funny when you consider he's a better finisher than one of the two alternatives and a much better all round footballer/athlete than the other. I'd don't think Perez is a striker but he's arguably the best we have for what Rafa requires of one.
magorific
Been surprised that Rafa has used Mitro ahead of Murphy in recent weeks. I'd be sorely tempted to start Murphy away from home in the crunch games coming up. Better at holding the ball up - and a better finisher.
Shak
I'm somewhat interested in seeing Gouffran up top tbh, he's more mobile than the other options. This is doubtless partly influenced by my absolute hatred of watching him try to play out wide. Atsu left and Gouffran up top is as good as Gouffran left and any of the striking options IMO. Murphy may as well have not been on the pitch against QPR, he was dreadful.
Greg
Would like to see Perez given a go up top on Saturday. He's far more suited to the style of how the team plays, he's not an out an out striker but more than capable of paying that role on the shoulder and has done so for us before. Far more suited to how Shelvey has been playing this season for instance.
LV
Shame we can't still loan players or it might have been worth a cheeky loan bid for Rooney now he seemingly wants out of Man U.
Eddy Chibas
A striker who is pretty quick off the mark. Hamstring injury. Whose game is reliant on his darting, timed runs off the ball. Winter - shithouse time of the year to pick up a hamstring injury. Get used to seeing him not rack up too many more mins, this season.
madras
Any chance of, maybe playing to Mitrovic's or Murphy's strengths if they have to play ?

nufcjb
Time for Mitro, Murphy and Ayoze to step up now. Personally, I think Murphy is a better finisher than the other two and maybe we should have him playing in those 3 big games as we might have fewer chances to score in those games. Don't want Mitro or Ayoze squandering them. But I do admire Mitro's hold up and linking play. There was no guarantees we would win those 3 games even with Gayle. Having him back for the run-in against sides we're expected to beat is still ok if it meant he'd stay fit for the rest of the season.
