Figures 1-0 Football
He has flashes of excellence every now and again, but he's been carried in a lot of games this season where he's played badly and we've still won. He's not been great, in all honesty but it's a long season and I'm sure his class will show through by the end of it.
Yorkie
I like him and he's been good on the whole, but he's nothing special. He isn't quick enough to be and I can't see him having much of an impact next season if we were to go up. But in the mean time he's a key player and one of the first names on the teamsheet. mighty__mag
I have found him to be a good all round player. Tries to do it all though, instead of adapting a role and sticking to it. For example if we kept Townsend instead, he would have been wide right and he would have no doubt kept to the duties of a winger type, probably more direct and cutting in takes more efforts from range and at the goal probably score more. Ritchie hasn't been very good infront of goal. In games i have watched hes missed a fair few easy finishes. But all in all he offers more as a team player than someone like Townsend who would be more selfish i think.
Guest Howaythetoon
Needs to start scoring more. He's far too good for this league, but isn't exactly showing it. Mind, Rafa's cautious approach doesn't help his own game as he spends more time or just as much defending his own defensive flank than actually attacking at the other end. Conjo
Hes a bit of a weird one. I think hes too good for this division, but not good enough for the PL due to not having any stand out attributes. Should only be back-up next season.
madras
He's known for fantastic delivery but the way we play, without the target man he's kind of nullified. I rreally think Mitrovic AND Gayle would see the best from him.
madras
Oh and I thought him and Atsu would have swapped over more, I don't think they did at all.
shintonsghost
bit disappointing last night and of late, gone off the boil?
bowlingcrofty
Looks knackered. Wouldn't be surprised if he had a rest at Forest.
Kanj
Needs a goal badly, and needs to start taking the games by the scruff.
Twinport53
He would of rifled a penalty in last night, none of this powder puff placement.
Disco
Having Dummett and Gouffran primarily on the other side allows opposition to shuffle over, leave him in space, and crowd our right hand side because they can assume that 90% of the time those two are going to offer very little in open play. Was the same when it was José and Jonás.

Yorkie
I'm probably being stupid. Opposition crowds our right hand side, 'leaving him in space'... but he is on our right hand side.
Foluwashola
It doesn't make sense more due to the fact that Dummett & Gouffran are a reasonable threat at this level. Ritchie hasn't been crowded out, his form has just dipped.

I mean, I can't be arsed to think about every match in detail, but came away from a good few of the early games in the season thinking he'd had a quality match. Hasn't happened for a while. Hanshithispantz
Statistically a lot more of our attacks come down the right side like, so teams will naturally focus more on Ritchie than Gouffran. I think his form is more down to the team just working better as a unit though, Gayle, Shelvey & Ritchie were basically winning us games on their own at one point so they looked superhuman, now they seem a lot quieter yet we're still winning (obviously Gayle is still being a beast up top). I can't really remember any match where he stood out as a different level to everyone one the pitch in the way Shelvey has at times. I'm not necessarily having a go, but considering the money we paid, and his record at this level previously, I think he has arguably been the biggest disappointment of the season. Can't think of him doing many good things throughout the season tbh, and our overall form has carried him and made him avoid any major criticism. I sort of agree with you, have thought the same from pretty much the start of the season, but I don't really judge him how I would judge a winger normally. He doesn't have much pace or trickery to get past the full back, but then he has other qualities like intelligence, hard work and a very decent delivery. Almost a poor man's Beckham if you like. So while he never looks spectacular, he does do a lot of good things during 90 mins. So for me, if we want pace and flair we should maybe look to have it on the other wing to Ritchie, that would give us a nice mix.
joeyt
About halfway through this Ritchie says he hasn't been performing well enough in the last few games and wants to recapture his form from earlier in the season https://beta.nufc.co.uk/nufc-tv/latest-videos/ritchie-focused-on-forest/
