lovejoy
Along with Rafa & Gayle, our best signing of the summer by some distance so far. Ritchie been very good as well imo. Clark certainly been the biggest surprise.
Ronaldo
Ritchie, Clark and Gayle would walk into any side in this division, like. Factor in Lascelles, Shelvey (and possibly Darlow too) and it's a very strong spine.

UncleBingo
Another strong display again today. Agreed. He's a good talker/organiser too, more so than Lascelles even.......he was actually telling him where he should stand etc on set pieces today. Very impressed with him. Leazes_End_Mag
Better than Rio ever was.
Paully
I've been very impressed with him especially after all of the abuse the Villa fans gave him when he signed!
AyeDubbleYoo
I was always impressed when I saw him for Villa, measure of how much he's impressed is I'm not even bothered that Mbemba has dropped out.
Dr.Spaceman
I thought this was a very 'meh' signing but he's been steady so far. There's no doubt that he's contributing to some solid team performances with his refreshing "the ball is not a live grenade" attitude.
BlackandWhite
He's been surprisingly good so far. Very dodgy CB when at Villa who was too prone to stupid errors like conceding a silly free kick, penalty or scoring an OG. Rafa looks to have helped him eliminate the sloppy mistakes from his game and he's looking a much better defender for it. Long may his great form continue. STM
He's a better footballer than Lascelles and has arguably been one of our best players. You could say that about most though. Really like him, I hope he keeps improving.
Tiotes Witch Doctor
Is it a case of him finding his level though? That's the question.
Figures 1-0 Football
Is it a case of him finding his level though? That's the question. Generally if you're consistently very good, you'd argue that you're above the level that you're playing at. His only experience in the PL was with a terrible Villa side with terrible managers, if you play in teams like that especially as a defender, you'll frequently make mistakes that result in goals/chances because you are under pressure 90% more than any other defender. Tiotes Witch Doctor
I have absolutely no doubt that Rafa will be a factor in him improving as a player, It's just on here sometimes people, myself included forget we're playing a much lower level than premier league level. Lets not forget Williamson looked a class above in this league and was subsequently very poor for us in the Premier league.

Williamson was fine in the Championship, not a class above at all.

toon25
Great buy. Proved to be good value so far and just goes to show what a good manager can do for a young player.

Incognito
Completely won me over. He's a bloody good footballer not only a defender.
Kevo
Solid at the back, no nonsense and enjoys running out of defence. Great to see and he is only ever going to improve working under Rafa. No reason he cannot be a regular in the PL when (if) we get promoted.
loki679
Another solid performance. I'm impressed with how vocal he is at the back aswell, always seems to be talking and getting things organised. Him and Lascelles first choice pairing for sure.
