People band it about as if it means something, but it's just a throwaway platitude that doesn't take into account the complexities of real life. Assuming Huddersfield win their game in hand, they have 4 games to make up 6 points on us (5 to equal, plus GD necessitates they have more points). Even if we lost every game, which will not happen, they'd have to win 3 of 5 to take over us. In our most difficult scenario - them winning all 5 games - 7 points from a possible 12 will be enough.
