I fancy us to win 2 games out of the final 4. Hopefully be enough. Just.

This is what is likely to happen,  been saying it all week at work to the panickers. Tonight was obviously our most difficult game,  we now play four teams with their minds on a tropical beach.

Where's the playoff option in the poll?

Still think we will be fine. Win on Monday and things are probably rosey.

That said lose and huddersfield win on Monday and their game in hand and they are two points behind with two to play :o

The remaining fixtures are pretty kind, like. 3 of the 4 have nothing to play for.

This "nothing to play for" thing is a nonsense, isn't it?  People band it about as if it means something, but it's just a throwaway platitude that doesn't take into account the complexities of real life.  For all we know, Ipswich will play better with no pressure on them   Like we did on the last day against Spurs.

Don't really have much doubt that we'll stumble over the finish line now.

Assuming Huddersfield win their game in hand, they have 4 games to make up 6 points on us (5 to equal, plus GD necessitates they have more points). Even if we lost every game, which will not happen, they'd have to win 3 of 5 to take over us.

In our most difficult scenario - them winning all 5 games - 7 points from a possible 12 will be enough. Basically, it seems pretty unlikely that the right combination of them winning enough and us dropping enough points will occur :boringJamesMilner:

We'll probably be alright (to 95% certainty) but only the thought of not getting promoted makes me sick. It's difficult to fail now, even for us, but still you never. Shouldn't have anything to worry about..

Norwich, Bristol City, QPR, Leeds.

4 occasions where fuckingn stupidity has shot us in the foot this season. Absolutely embarrassing a couple of them.

Villa away towards the beginning of the season as well.

Not many teams have outclassed or outplayed us but stupid individual errors really have fucked us. Without playing too well ourselves we would've been up a fortnight ago if we didn't bollocks it up for ourselves.

Guest chopey

Pissed off with tonight's result, but that's the best we've played since before Christmas and if we keep that up we'll be up no problem, but the bloke on talksport just now said that Monk has got Leeds playing amazing football and they look favorites for the playoffs must have watched tonight's game with blinkers on

We need 4 points out of Ipswich, Preston, Cardiff, and Barnsley. That is very achievable.

In the last 4 games we got 7 points out of Wigan, Burton, Wednesday, and Leeds, 2 teams who are in a relegation fight, and 2 chasing the play offs.

Exactly. And we'll get a similar return from our last four games. That'll be enough folks.

People throw it about like the absolutely relevant point it is.
